  • Just wanted to pop on and say hello, seem to have had a busy weekend and missed the thread. I am trying to keep track and work out who is who.

Thinking of Lesley and family and Moliere's LO .

Had a nasty trip to the dentist today, ongoing problem of two months now. I asked her to extract the wretched thing but she thought it was worth trying root canal treatment so I am still suffering. Bad back is not good either and I have work tomorrow too so feeling pretty low. Onwards and Upwards ..... must keep going !

Five pm and no idea what for tea (again!) . One day I will start meal planning but it ain't today!

DS 1 (19) is off on his Christmas Party with his Police group tonight. He's going dressed as Harry Potter as there is a very distinct resemblance, as has been noted by many prisoners!! He's under strict instructions NOT to get 'Drunk and Messy' ........ I so hope he is careful ! (He normally is but I am a worry guts over drink!)

Well, today has been absolute pants! leftovers for a meal tonight so at least that is OS.

Had a run in with LM at work today and not happy about the situation. Might start and plan my exit strategy. Dh is starting work abroad in the new year, so I might just find that termtime only is incompatible with home and away visits. Might also get me to get my pretty little (yer, right) @r$e into gear working at home.

    Sorry to sound off.

We've all just had Heinz Tom soup with bread and butter for dinner as all 3 of us feel abit rough. Hope its not the lurgy and wont have it too long. OH is already on anti-biotics, so hoping it wont go on his chest again.

Managed to Freecycle a bag of old clothes from DD's wardrobe as she had a clearout over the weekend. A lovely lady who has a new born came and got them. So pleased when genuine people get items from there.

Did my online banking and updated my figures on Quicken this morning. Wrote and printed 2 letters that need to be sent tomorrow. WM has been on and hung on airer. OH cleaned out bathroom cupboard and peeled the veg for dinner which we didnt have, so may make a veggie soup tomorrow. I have some leftover chicken in the fridge from Saturday....would this be ok to throw in the soup, or should I bin it?

Did an order from the online cash and carry last week and they just confirmed via email that the items will be here in the next 2 days. Managed to stock up on sugar (50p a bag) and other non perishable items for £25 inc delivery which i thought was good value.

Need to get some spuds, veg, ham and cheddar, so hoping OH will be well enough to buy some on way home. Should only be about £7. Also booked an Xmas slot with Ocado and used a £15 voucher and another £18 in deals. They did charge £9.99:eek:   but it saves going out and got it for Xmas Eve which is perfect! In total it came to £96.00 but that included quite a few treats and stuff for us to take away with us a couple of days later. Didnt include the Meat for Xmas day but not too sure what we are having yet...was thinking about the 3 Bird Roast from Aldi:confused: Did include Chickens x 2, 2 packs of diced chicken breast, small gammon joint, 5 packs of bacon (£6 and about 6 rashers in each, so perfect for us 3), 2 packs of 96% pork sausages and loads of other stuff, so I did quite well and havent touched my budget for December yet:j :j

Another question....I really need a new bra but I'm not well enough to go out really. I was a 34DD but not sure as my bust has shrunk a little. How easy is it to measure myself and is it accurate? Are there any places that would let me return if not suitable?

PP-Hope you are okay. Have missed your posts.

    Hoping you are all well.

Just nipped back on to say how sorry I am that Lesley is getting worse Taplady.

PP If you contact a good local lingerie shop I'm sure given your health they would be more than happy to come out and measure you and bring a few bras with them for you to try on and choose from.Lots of Lingerie shops offer this service round here for ill people and the elderly

DD thanks for the recipe.I'll give it a try next week and include it in my meal planner

Taplady, I'm thinking of you and your friend hug.gif

I sorted out the animals and did some washing earlier, but couldn't sit still to do my cards - I managed 4 then gave up, lol - so I pottered around the house and the next thing I knew, the house was sparkly and organised and I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow :T :D

In the morning, I might list everything that's in the freezer. I've never bothered before because no-one else was interested and so probably wouldn't cross things off as they used them  but suddenly they all think it's a good idea. I want to work out shopping lists for after Christmas, there are a few things which all four of us prefer shop-bought (oh the shame, please don't shoot me :o :rotfl:) but enough's enough, I want more money in my pocket :D

Oh !!!!!!, now I've written that I'll have nothing to say in the morning :rotfl:

Ooooh I meant to say - have a read of the first post HERE :D

  • Evening all
Big hug to those in need.
Busy at work, I produced 800 mock exam papers between 8, when the master copys arrived with me & 12, when the exam started, nothing like being organised is there & they couldn't organise a hiss up in a brewery.
I ordered a new cooker for delivery Wednesday & arranged time off, I've just received a text to say it will be here tomorrow!!! I'd ordered a Tesco delivery to arrive at the same time, so I've been sorting all that lot out!
I've found some wool to knit a different scarf, so I'll be doing those for the next couple of weeks.
    Have a good evening.
    Hugs Hester
