  • its a dvd disc that can be used like a floppy, once data is written to it, it can be amended , then saved.

Rewritable do not allow you to do this, as once the data is written it cannot be changed.

Hi peeps...be careful on this one, received mine today. they have sent a 110D...Now this will not be a problem for most peeps who have purchased it, but I had actually purchased it for the DVD-RAM writing function.

I may have just been unlucky and got the wrong drive sent, but worth checking the model if you really need the RAM burning function...the 110D will read RAM disks by the way
    Welcome, rogerramjet.

No customs charge....I've bought various items from them over the years and never had custom charges...something to do with them being in Jersey

Thanks rogerramjet. I bought it from play specifically because they have the ram writing functionality. The 110d is £26 at ebuyer, svp & bigpockets so no bargain if play misdescribed it. I've just saved the webpage in case they try to back out.

  • I'll be annoyed if they send the 110D, while advertising the 110 - the big attraction for me was the RAM capabilities. Think I'll find out tomorrow.

Might be obvious if you know already or have read the spec, but no-one has mentioned that this is a dual layer burner, which in my mind is what makes it a bargain. I've got one already which is sitting very nicely alongside my Pioneer DVD106.
