  • Since they've put their hands up and repaired your fathers car for free and given you a loaner, why would you go else where???

    What more could they have done??
    They could have done the job right in the first place!!! Do you want to have a jo redone every time you take your car to the Dealership, where they pride themselves on having technicians trained specifically/primarily for the franchisee they represent? Doesn't reflect well on the Company they represent.

    Or do you know more about repairing VWs than a VW main dealer?
    Doesn't look like they know much about repairing them either mate... they would have done the job right in the first place if they did.

    It would make economic sense to replace it - but who knows what they will do - I'm very cynical about main stealers these days. Their attitude leaves alot to be desired. And yes, I know, one shouldn't generalise..
    Exactly...it's harsh to generalise like this, and Andy's comments above im guessing are because he's posting at 2am!? I can honestly say that we have ALWAYS fitted a cambelt when we've charged for one, we've also made mistakes but do our best to rectify them to the best of our ability and to the customers satisfaction. I hope you just caught them on an off day and they improve their service... :o

    Sadly, not all places have the same standards and supervision. Regardless of whether it be Ford, Toyota or VW etc...... which is why so many people are so anti dealerships. Mud sticks, all tarred with same brush and all those cliches..... :o
