bubmblebee - glad to hear it
If you have a diary write it all in that and keep it in your bag so you remember when you are out and about
I look fwd to the 15th of Jan to see how your month will go
- Good luck! x 0 -
dear bumblebee, glad to hear it's going well, you sound like you are positive.
when this is over and you are all sorted you will have learnt a good lesson that you will keep for life, of how to budget and best utilise your cash.

WOW Bumble – a month meal plan – that’s impressive :T … I shy away now knowing I only do a week at a time….
Although I kinda plan in my head what I’m having roughly for the fortnight. Just I never know when I’m in or out until the last week before!!!
You’re so right - it is amazing what taking control can make you feel like. I feel so much better about things even though I’ve not dramatically reduced debt at the moment, just knowing I’m in control of it and doing something about it makes me feel so much better.
Have a great day!!LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

I'll be posting on here everythime i buy food/cleaning stuff/nappies as it will be so much easier to see how much i can get my grocery spending down to.
OH's promotion is looking less likely now, hes got surgery on wednesday and his area manager thought he was going back to work on thursday!!!!! hes not even coming home till thursday afternoon, and will need at least 4 weeks off work.
dont worry, we have budgetted for that, he gets paid for 6 weeks sick leave a year, has taken 2 after his last op in august, so he has 4 weeks sick pay, then 2 weeks holiday left if he needs to use that after. if not, we are going to see if he can cash a week in for february's pay, so we can get another chunk off the arrears0 -
Sorry to hear about the promotion not looking likely. It does concern me that someone thinks a person would be back to work the day after surgery!
Well done though for budgeting without it, such a wise thing to do. I hope there is a good chance he can get the possibility of promotion again soon.
Great idea about posting on here - people are so wise and have given me great tips!! And I kinda want them to tell me off when I haven't been so good (not that I intend not to be - but you know what i mean!)
Hope your day was ok! and you're having a good evening

i know what you mean, if you get told off for buying/spending when you shouldnt means its less likely you will do it again!
well, spent £12 in town today - £10 on a secret santa prezzie and £2 on some cheeeeeese (yummers) and later ill have to send off a couple of things so that will be some more £££'s but im ok with that, tax creds was yesterday, and usually it would just get spent, but it didnt!!!!!!!0 -
LOL!! Yes - I need telling off - I only have me to answer to in the non-virtual world - and well I suppose the banks, etc!!
Well done on the No spend of tax credits yesterday - and using them all for the other stuff. Sounds good. Hope you get on well with everything this weekend
