Hi bumblebee87
Just a quick note to say have you heard of freecycle? You join it via yahoo groups. Bascially people offer things they don't want, for free, and you email and say you want it, for free! I love it and there are lots of local groups so you don't have to go far to pick something up. It's best practice to offer something first. Might be worth a look for a slow cooker or breadmaker.
So far I have offered a table, received a steamer and requested empty shoe boxes! Hope this helps.

OOOOO Bumblebee
just seen this on slower cooker thread;
"I bought the cookworks slow cooker from argos last week for 9.70 and im in love with it! its huge! really easy to clean (removable crockpot) and has high, low and warm settings
"
This is the one I have - am sure its 3.5 litres - its great and comes with a few recipes!! If its still for £9.70 - thats a bargain!!

thats great! ill carry on doing my soup in the big pot though, i lquidised it earlier and it was 4.5 litres half full!!!!!!! there is loads!! weve had it for tea with bread srummylicious!
ill be getting the slow cooker on monday for stews etc and im building it into this months grocery budget0 -
bumblebee - i was coming to say what somebody above said - often slowcookers and bread makers are on freecycle as people buy them as a quick fad that ends after a few months and they then want to clear some space in their kitchen. Would save you £10
ooooor as its close to Christmas, ask a family member to get you it rather than buying yourself? Anyways to save pennys are great!
Good luck with ebay! We have been ebaying some old stuff this week to help us declutter for when we move in 6 months and everything sold. Its the right time of year for it

Morning bumblebee
WOW 4.5 litres – that’s loads!!!!
Fab on the slow cooker – my beef stew was great last night (even if I do say so myself
). When you get yours – if you want it - I will PM the great basic stew recipe with four meat alternatives from my Jamie O recipe book. Such a great idea. You have the staple ingredients, then add the just 3 different things for different meat.
Apparently chilli is great in there too and rice pudding – which I need to find out from the “Yoda’s” just how to make that!! Mmm…
Really shouldn’t talk about food this early!
Fingers crossed for the listed goods!!
Have a good day!
