Got an In The Night Garden indoor tent, reduced from £30 to £15, then 20% off so total £11.99, bargain.

Lots of xmas chocs that you can only really get at woolies.

I don't care what anyone says, Woolies is an iconic shop and the high street will be a sadder place without it. Our one is only a couple of years old and is really modern and fresh. The town i grew up in had a small high street and Woolies was the only shop that you could get many things without travelling a great distance.

It's a sad day when we'll be looking back and wondering what happened to choice. Yes this is a money saving forum, but as competition lessens prices can go up, and this only plays into the hands of the Tescos and Sainsburys of this world.

The government bailed out the banks, perhaps they should look a little harder at safeguarding the future of 30,000 hardworking employees.

Plenty of people in the one at Lakeside. Mother bought some Xmas lights that were very cheap. Posters were 50% off but decided not to get any. I did get 320 sheets of A4 lined paper for College for £2 though :)

I'm hoping the game I want for PS2 gets reduced heavily so I will wait until perhaps after Christmas when even more things will get reduced.

    sale is trash man.

theres a few stuff but the majority can be found cheaper elsewhere even with the discount.

    i got a couple bits:
Giant wine glass (fits whole bottle) labelled £4 till said £2, paid £1.60
ALL posters all down to £1.99 (50% off)
manicure set (including nail dryer and stuff) down to £5 (50% off)
worlds biggest mug (600ml) no label on but till said £2, paid £1.60
cafetieres (various sizes and also in chrome) start @ £3 for plastic one and includes 20% off.

not everything is on sale! some have their own previous reductions and no further reductions at the till. got caught out on a couple items, but it all balances out 4 me. chocs and that were on sale but only 10%... still probs cheaper in asda!

anyone buy the drinks stand (optics) thats labelled £15?! does it reduce further at the till?! if so im so reachin 4 that tomorra!

was in croydon store from 9.40 and queues wernt that long and moved quickish. homewares particularly was rubbish. i think they took loads away to get rid of the main stuff first!

I did, i love bar stuff - it's actually £10 now before the sale discount, and that was another 20/30% off - sorry i can't remember exactly, and i've thrown away the receipt :(

I was really impressed by the sale - picked up the above optics set, 2 DVDs, 4 chunky champagne flutes, a cheese knife set, set of 100 twinkling clear lights, and some cute ittle star tea-ligh holders, all for less than £30!

However there were a few things already sold out when i got there which i'd been hoping to get.

Pretty happy overall, expecially as i went stright after poundland and picked up a few more bargains there :D

Most important question (may have been asked already, not read all the way through) is the pick 'n' mix half price?

    hi

went into local woolies today, and saw some lovely peppa pig boys "george" space man pyjamas, with little velcro pads that you can put the characters onto. only thing is they were not in his size 2-3 does anyone know of a store that has these? or are there any kind ms'ers that could possibly get me a pair?

i know how helpful everyone on here is and i hope you dont mind me asking, but i know my little lad would love these and now due to obvious reasons i cant order instore anymore.

thanks and once again i hope you dont mind me asking but i have tried on ebay and there are only 2 on there not in my sons size.

please pm me if you can help, and i am happy to obviously pay all postage etc costs. long shot i know.

    thanks

Nothing dramatic that I could see in the woolies we passed today. Just a heap of people with lots of stuff willing to stand in a queue for ages. We needed a pressie for a baby so picked up a little outfit, but nothing else. Did just as well with the 20% event a week or so ago.
