Is it going to be worth my while popping in tomorrow? I quite like the sound of these big wine glasses!
YES! they have loads of the glasses, the big ones along with the 4 pack of red ones. some are stacked high tho in like a pyramid, so u may have to ask for assistance unless ur a pro @ jenga :D
  • popped in today...

picked up a load of stuff that weren't marked for sale and asked if they could do a price check. The check out girl gave me the prices (which were all not reduced) and said "but I'm not sure if these are the reduced price".

So it seems I wouldnt have known if it was a bargain till I paid!

I went into one in swindon and cirencester last fruday - both were heaving - with people looking for bargains - which IMHO there werent any - at least not that I could see.

If going in to receivership and having a 'clearance sale' is all it takes to get that many people into a store then I suggest every high street retailer should go into receivership for the rest of December - then miraculously recover in January :rotfl:

Good luck to those who found that item that was cheaper than elsewhere...

Hopefully, the increased sales will help to cement a future for most of the stores and staff and then the new owner can do something to give woolworths something worth going through the doors for.

The pint glasses were Woolworths own 'Worth it' range, and the fleece throw was marked up at £6 so dont know if it may have been more before? Very happy with my weekends shopping, nearly all the Christmas stuff done now :)

This was 5 minutes after she had declared "it's all a con, I bet there's nothing in there we want!" :rotfl:

More than happy with my bargains from Woolies - popped in on Sunday expecting most of the good stuff to have gone, but found a Russell Hobbs Cyclonic vacuum cleaner tucked away on the bottom shelf, £45 reduced to £24 (flat looks spotless now!) and my missus picked me up an early Xmas pressent, a full size Roboraptor - reduced from £70 to £31 and probably missed by many as on the top shelf in the stationary aisle :D

So remember to look high and low people!
