I do feel for the staff, genuinely. Losing your job at any time is hard, but right by Christmas is just terrible. However, if Woolies really intended to survive, they would have made their prices more competitive long before. People have voted with their wallets i guess

Whatever happens, i hope the staff are employed in new (better) jobs asap.

Perhaps if they would have done this sale before, it might have given them some extra cash, or even a 20% off day like M&S, they might have survived!

It was sooo quiet this morning compared to yesterday but thats cos we were there at opening time!
Or maybe people read the Daily Mail review and word has got round about what a complete waste of time this sale is.

Got an electronic Suduko game for £3.49 instead of £14.99 and a digital set top box for just over £13 but otherwise the sale was a little dissapointing. I only saw one tiny section of shelving with 50%, toys were 20% off and most other stuff was just 10% off
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

i had to laugh when i passed my local woolies yesterday, it was like the advert on TV where everybody goes to buy presents from the Petrol Station in the states, and cleans them out.

All packed in like sausages panic buying. Of course there's 10% off game consoles, if your lucky to find one in stock.

Can't say I will be rushing into town for this one to be honest. Went in last week trying to find something for my son to spend a £5 birthday voucher on and he didn't want anything! He is only 5!
