    I managed to get:

    birthday cards - 50% off
Clone Wars PJs - 20% off
Christmas wrapping paper - 30% off
    Baby shoes - 20% off
Baby bodysuits - half price + 20% off
and a footstool that I'd had my eye on - 20% off. :T

So I'm quite happy. It's all stuff I wanted so imo I did well.

Our local shop was packed, it seemed that a lot of stuff that was on offer was put back up to full price then had 20% off, we just walked in and walked out again, must have been over 100 people in the queue, it went to the front door, I just couldn't be bothered!

A lot of buzz in our local store. I managed to get a few things to put aside for the kids party season! Always needing a wee thing for class mates!

The DS Guitar Hero seemed to be a good price. A woman in front buying one for £112! Has it all in one box.
  • I got myself a nice little bargain. I got a Crayola Draw'n Store Giant Toy Box, the label on it said £49.99 with half price off to £24.99. The shelf said £5.00 with the 20% off it cost me £4.00 im well chuffed.
  • my local store was mayhem too. some things at 50% off, and 20% and 10%. they had crates of tat most of which was... welll tatty, saw a few books at 50p but not in a good enough condition to give to anybody for a xmas present, the few things i picked up i dumped again when i saw the queues!
  • It may have been said before but how disappointing! Realllly easy to get sucked in to thinking your getting a big deal but 99% of the stuff is cheaper elsewhere. Especially the Bratz and Star wars things, all cheaper in Argos (though granted, getting it in stock is a different matter) or Asda.

I think the worst rip-off was the star wars changer lightsabre, £17.99 in Argos, £39.99 in Woolies! even with the 20% its a mile more expensive. If this is the best they can do, then im not suprised there going, more expensive than elsewhere even with this discount! Oh, and chart CD's - LOADS cheaper elsewhere, over £10 with a discount.

    Anyway, having said that, i did get a few bits i was pleased with;

    - Bratz 'Wanted - Blazing bull ride' - £2.49 (Woolworths exclusive)
    - Bratz 'passion for fashion horse' - £11.99 ( " )
    - X factor board game - £11.99 (slightly more expensive than WHSmiths but they cant seem to get it in stock)

HTH someone, but really - SHOP AROUND before grabbing the 'deals' at woolies.
    OnePoll - £12.40, Yougov - £1.00, VO - £24.25, youdoo miles - 24292, MHF - £0.00
Not much, but its a start :rotfl:

Mine was heaving - only a small local one but absolutely rammed. Apparently before they opened there was a queue halfway down the street - bigger than the one for the last Harry Potter book launch! They shut the automatic doors and were doing one in one out. Discounts seemed pretty standard, was going to buy the new Pink album for my Mum till I realised it was cheaper to buy at Play.com!

  • I got to the one down the road from me just after it was open. It was relatively quiet and I managed to pick out a few nice xmas cards and a board game I'd had my eye on. As I was leaving though it was starting to get a bit manic.

I am surprised by the amount of moaning about lack of discount???

I just went in and bought a kiddies Trike that was already down from £25 to £12 and for some reason when it went through the till it was only £10 PLUS the 20% discount which made it only £8. Also got a thermos mug down from £6 to £3.20.

THE DISCOUNTS ALREADY ON SOME ITEMS ARE STILL SUBJECT TO THE EXTRA SALE DISCOUNT!

I think this is why guys are moaning at the prices
