What a waste of my time!!! Stuff was cheaper with the F&F 20% off voucher. I put down my basket empty and left the shop.

Same reductions as everyone else at my store, which was heaving with people. Some toys were reduced but this was only shown on the SEL or a sticker on the box, so they were spread all round really. I got a few stocking fillers, e.g.

    ITNG squashy washies £2 each
ITNG boxed pencil case set with pencils and character toppers 80p each
Make your own cards kit (teen) 80p
    Create your own catwalk £1.60
Fifi colouring kit in bucket £1.60
    Mini Cella sticker kit £1.60
    Glitter paint set 40p each
    Mini stamper set 40p each
Play Doh make and display 80p
Futime foam big boxed craft set £2.40
    16 crayon wheel 40p
    Girl's outfit (trousers/top) £1.60

Some good bargains but still £20 more than I would have spent in Woolworths otherwise!
  • If i was you i would hold of going into store for a while....
It seems the end is VERY close heAd office staff being laid off today...
So for all the vultures!!!!!!!!! Sorry i mean bargain hunters?????
    Wait a couple of days....
  • I was disappointed, hardly anything was 50% off. The toys were 20% off but wern't they 3 for 2 recently? which means they have gone from 33% off to only 20% and the shop is heaving - very good marketing

Well i spent a few quid on toys because I'd gone especially and might not get another chance but I wouldn't say I got great value.

I was there too, CPG! But not till 11.30 am. I haven't seen the big car park that full in years.

I spent about £50 in all, and had to go round twice as I couldn't get a trolley and could only carry so much. I bought a lot of craft kits and such in the Clearance section..with the combination of the clearance discount plus 20% off that I was getting £5 craft kits for a pound or two. I also bought some garden sundries "Spear and Jackson" gift sets of trowel, hand fork and secaturs were originally £15 but going through at £4.20 and in a choice of colours including pink. Also two beanbags in pink and silver leatherette...they were originally £12 but cost me £7 each. No idea how that happened.

Worth going to. The staff looked fairly cheerful, the queues weren't bad and moved quickly and overall the store was busy but not frantic.
    Val.
