Tesco racketeering?

I dont shop there, I call in if Im passing and need anything as its within a mile of me, but its only for a loaf or milk.
My main shop is Morrisons, its a distance from me, but I prefer it. Throughout the last few months it doesnt seem to have gone anywhere near as expensive as Mr T.
In an ideal world I would nip down to the market on a saturday, but I just dont have the time to be getting bits from here there and everywhere.0 -
They are all at it. i shop in most of the major supermarkets for the least i can get away with. ALL the value/basics/smartprice range has all been seriously hiked. Well you know what Tesco et al, F*** You!! I can't get away with never shopping in your crappy food shops but i spend as little as i can get away with. Have my own chickens, buy potatoes and veg from local farmers. Use a butcher (who happens to be a mate but would anyway), make my own bread (but have to grudgingly buy flour at sainsbury's) and generally try to spend as little as possible at the thieving, underhand grasping fagins that are our 'cheap' supermarkets. !!!!!!!s!!0

Guys, guys, guys, wait till d.edna reads this board! It'll be:
"No-one's forcing you to go to Tesco's are they?"
"Have you never thought there might be other reasons for the price rise?"
"They're not a charity"
"Seriously, stop it, stop doing Tesco's down, you know it's the best value, that's why you all shop there"
"What do you want them to do, give their stuff away for free?"
"I bet you were really rude to the staff about it too"
"Seriously, leave me alone and stop harassing me"
"You need not reply"
etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc ad nauseam.....
Probably on my own here but this childish behaviour is getting beyond the joke now. Baiting people like this is unnecessary - just ignore someone if you don't like what they say. You may even ignore me now but that's the risk I take.0 -

Sunflower seeds - 300g pack were 45p. The next week they've gone up to £2.96.
I contacted Tesco and they said it had been a poor harvest and they had to pass the price on to the consumer. My googling found no indication of a bad harvest. Tesco never replied to my email re harvest.
Instead bought my supply in local Health food store at £3.23 a kilo.
Watch their prices - if I'd been on autopilot when I went in for my usual 6 packets I'd have been caught for a £15 price hike.
Just cut the heads off your flowers, leave them to dry and hey presto you have your ownIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -
I quite agree with ya about TESCOS price hick i havnt been shopping for the past 3 weeks due to ill ness but i always spend about £45 a week went this week got my normal items and !!!!!! !!!! i had spent £65 how on earth had it come to that as i didnt buy any expencive stuff i have to shop there as other wise it means id have to catch 2 buses to get to the other shop and thats no fun when you got bags of shopping

6 packets!! what do you do with them
I eat them! I gave up buying chocolate and crisps but still had a big urge to snack, so mix them with a few chopped dates. Weirdly my cat likes them too!
Sunflower seeds are now the same price as Pine nuts in Tescos. Pine nuts I have never bought due to the cost.
Guess we'll be growing our own sunflowers this summer0 -
I went into Tesco today to get my once a week crusty bread rolls. Ahhhhh!!! the packaging said " Merry Christmas " how lovely I thought. At the till !!! more than 30p more within 7 days. They can keep their MC and stuff!!! won't lower the tone0
