SO, in summary ALL private parking tickets [as in ALL OF THEM,irrespective of any other data/specifics/variables/circumstances] are unenforceable and the advice is DO NOT PAY.

Can we get the thread back on topic pretty please with jam on it. I hereby apologise for any insults I have made on this thread and will let someone else have the last word. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

New here and have read the advice to not pay but need to ask a question but will keep it brief. I parked my car in disabled bay but forgot to display my blue badge in Asda and got a ticket from Town and city parking. My tax disc has disabled on it though.
I have heart failure which along with my medication makes me a bit absent minded sometimes. Would it be worth writing them explaining this and if they want to take it to court i'd gladly go etc just to save me the stress of getting the letters they'll start sending if I ignore it.
I'll appreciate a reply and nice one to those of you who take the time to reassure people who panic when they get these tickets.
Thanks0 -
You may safely disregard their claims, and should do so in my opinion.0

There's not a chance in hell of them taking it to court, they would not win if they did. They will however send about 5-6 threatening letters including the usual fictitious debt collectors one. They then give up providing you don't contact them first. If you do you'll get an extra couple of begging/threatening ones.
There are many posts on here confirming this as well as on Pepipoo.comI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Disabled bays and the blue badge scheme have no legal standing in private car parks.
Their appeals procedure is completely bogus and replying to them will just encourage them to think they have hooked a sucker.
By far the best move is to ignore everything. They will go away eventually0 -
Ok thanks for your replies i'm reassured.
I've done a bit more reading of old posts and looked at the letters that are yet to come for me. Like I said I thought I might have spared me the demanding letters but now fancy the idea of how much extra it will cost them to keep contacting me.0 -

Had the enforcer, sorry, attendant, done his job right he should have taken the veh details from the Tax Disc and spotted "tax disc has disabled on it "0 -
Hey Doncha,
Please try and get over your oh-so-obvious crush on me. I'm spoken for, and besides even if I wasn't I'm not sure that you're 'my kinda guy'.
Although I do appreciate that I am your sole reason for living and posting, you really need to try to put the past behind you, conquer your [unrequited] feelings, move on with your life and find someone else to stalk.
It's not healthy for you to fixate on someone [especially me].
Love and kisses
You continue to try and have the last humiliated, face saving word my friend, but the point is made and importantly has been seen to be made, your recent behaviour towards the mainly good people of this forum, here for sensible debate, help, advice and sometimes a shoulder to lean on has been nothing short of atrocious, offensive, childish and peurile HOWEVER, it seems to have penetrated that incredibly arrogant and self indulgent skull of yours as the bile has slowed down the last couple of days so it's sinking in - YOUR BEHAVIOUS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE SUNSHINE, so in that vein I'll back off now but I'm watching you and your venomous outpourings and any repetition I'll continue to take you to task.
You've got serious inadequacy issues son, get advice for your own sake as well as ours.
I'm done now, take your last word, come back and edit - then heed the above at your own pace.
Wise up sunshine and grow up finally, contribute positively in the spirit of these forums or move on.******************************************

A few days ago I posted a theory that the reason BFG is attempting to disrupt these forums is because he works for a PPC.
Interesting that he has never denied it.0
