It's crucial for you to appreciate that the "appeal" procedure is bogus.
It's part of the whole scam, designed to make the victim think that the PPC has some kind of legitimacy or legal authority (like the police or a council), when actually they don't. They're just a bunch of nobodies sat in a portakabin, hoping that as many mugs as possible will send them cheques.
If I wrote to you demanding £60 because you've read this post, and said you could "appeal" the charge through my own internal procedure by writing a grovelling letter to me, you'd laugh and ignore my letter. What the PPCs are doing is no different, so just laugh and ignore their letter.
Have you received my appeal yet and can you advise me of the current status please, ie has it moved from it's original status of "denied" to "appeal received and binned send in the thugs" status yet?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

It's currently being considered by my Appeals Manager "Big Ron" who sits down the end of the portakabin and casts his expert eye over the legal intricacies of the appeals in between reading the Daily Star and making loud belching noises.0 -
Sorry, did I misread that? Did you say "reading" or "looking at the pictures in?"My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
That's classed as reading in "Big Ron Land"I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I hope I'm posting in the right place..but we received a PCN on 27th dec from Predator Secuity UK ltd (oh the irony!!) for £75 if paid within 14 days or £100 after that:eek:
We had no change and had parked and gone to a nearby market stall to get some. By the time we returned to the car we had a ticket.
I have read all the info on this board but am still confused as to whether we have a case for not paying?
Unfortunately we can't find the pay and display ticket it must have been thrown away:o
Please could someone advise me...Thanks in advance0 -
At the most you owe the parking company the cost of that P&D ticket. By saying you have to pay that stupid sum of £75/£100 they are breaking the law by demanding an unfair penalty that bears no relation to the actual loss suffered by them.
Ignore all correspondence from the parking company and do not contact them. You might get some letters from "debt collectors" and solicitors but that's just part of their scare tactics. Eventually they will give up and go away. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Thank you for your reply.
We did buy a pay and display ticket but are you saying it is ok to ignore the penalty notice and ignore any further correspondence.
Thanks0 -

That is correct. For more reassurance please read the similar threads on here about private parking tickets. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It is not a 'Penalty Notice'. If it says that it is then it is fraudulent.0
