It talks of debt collectors, CCJ's etc... etc... and wants me to pay £100 quid. Debt collectors are not bailiffs and have no powers. You cannot get a ccj until you have been to court and lost, then still not paid up. As they don't do court this will never happen.

Civil Parking Notice: CPxxxxxxxx "civil parking notice" = "toilet paper".


I tried everything to get the scan I made of the letter to upload here, no luck!

Thanks a lot for your response, put my mind at rest a bit now.

I was almost tempted to just pay the £100 quid just to put the thing behind me.... but then I came to my senses.

I would prefered to have been able to upload my scan of the actual letter here... how long do new users have to wait before we are granted to powers of upload? :->

Except for the letterhead most companies follow the same pattern. Even the letter knackers their case as it quotes, "Notify the driver" they should have sent it to the driver then shouldn't they!;) You are the registered keeper!

It's shocking how they are allowed to exist. I can see you're from Liverpool, same here, and that's where I received my "Parking Ticket". I think the security companies must be taking a cut from the Car Parking Partnership to stick these things on people's cars. Thanks.

A lot of them are DIY they buy a wad of iffy tickets and a couple of signs. Some goon sticks them to your car then if they get paid they give the landowner £10/£15.

They reckon 40% pay up thinking there real. so at £50 a lump if they give a 100 out and 40 pay in a month its an easy £2K.

...to double check for signs etc. There is a sign at the end of the row where I parked, not near the place I parked, but at the end of the row on a lamp post. I don't recall the sign being there at the time I received the sticky label but if could have been.

It talks about private property etc... and names the theives, Car Parking Partnership and Stone Security who issued the sticky label to the windscreen.

The sign states: "By entering and remaining on the property, you have agreed to these conditions and contracted with The Parking Partnership to be legally bound by them".

Sounds like total !!!! to me, but for this to be legal, wouldn't they need the full correct title, and not "The Parking Partnership"... who are they, a new name they made up!?

After reading this, I once again was tempted to just pay.... but then thought about my deep dislike of parking regulations, tickets, etc.... and also the fact that they have no powers and thousands of people fall victim to the lies.

So... I'm no solicitor, can anyone confirm if I have in-fact entered into a legally binding contract with these Judas' by parking there?
