Private Parking Tickets discussion
Comments
-
Hi i recently parked on a private housing estate, and received what i believe is a valid ticket. by valid i mean there was a big yellow sign, i did see it, and i also parked slightly on the kerb. (although there was still room for a wheelchair or push chair to get by safely).
Unfortunatly i did not read all the way down the sign, i read a bit about not parking on yellow lines, and as i wasnt skipped the rest as i was rushing. the bit i didnt read stated that the estate was private and a permit was needed to park anywhere that didnt have yellow lines.
myself and aprox 20 cars all got tickets for the same offence.
as the ticket was issued according to their rules which i did break. should i still ignore the letters, i know the general message is ignore, but most people asking have been issued tickets incorrectly.
where as i have no defence, there was a sign, it was private land and i still parked!!!!
advice please0 -
Do you want to pay? if so do. If you don't then just ignore like everyone else. If you feel guilty then pay somethingto your favourite charity instead, it'll make everyone happy, except the ppc that is.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

There is a bit more to it then you committed the offence. To many to mention all but just 3 to go on 1, do you believe the charge is fair? 2, do you know if the ticket issuer has the right to issue a parking charge on the land? 3, did you read the full sign did you agree to the conditions of the sign and except the contract? If the answer to any is no then I would ignore.0

There is no valid ticket from a PPC, so the advice is to ignore, they don't own the road and they have no legal right to extort money out of you.
The only valid tickets are ones from the councils or police, what you are describing is that its not from them.
So IGNORE!!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Load of twaddle...read the sticky, and learn that the simple 3 word solution is ignore, ignore, ignore.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I think you will find that the OP had read the ignore tactic and was seeking reassurance!
Its simple to repeat ignore ignore ignore but maybe some people need more assurance that this is the correct approach!0 -

What several thousand other threads telling them to ignore isn't enough to convince someone???
!!!!!! do they want ...a signed note from their mum, a special medal from the Queen, a secret handshake, an announcement on the BBC news specifically mentioning them by name, a letter from Barack Obama????
Talking about 'is it a fair charge' 'did you see the signs' is it reasonable' are all just confusing the OP [and the issue].
The sooner everyone posts a simple 'Ignore, ignore, ignore' the sooner people get the picture.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Can I just say that if people want to create a thread or a post to ask a question , its up to them!
They don't need a condecending reply from you basically questioning their intelligence, if you can't be bothered to answer civililly don't bother replying, I don't mind answering even though its basically the same thing over and over, and others do the same!
So stop trying to limit people from posting here, you are not helping, and probably driving people away !Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
