I got fed up with following perky, I found the thread on bailiffs/ANPR much more illuminating.(apart from the personal arguments that is)I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

This is my first post here and I've joined as my oh got one of these letters from Roxburghe and I wanted to say what my experience of this company has been so far. The letter says he got the ticket in March which he has no recollection of, he says he didn't have a ticket on his car. The place where the offence was said to have happened doesn't exist, we got a second letter today with a post code on it, the post code is only a few streets away. I phoned the council to ask about the name of the place on the first letter and they have no record of it. I have asked on Roxburghe's site for photographs of the offence but they can't provide me with one, will there have been a ticket on his car or is there something else going on.
My oh was a wee bit worried about the letter but when I looked for Roxburghe on the internet this was one of the first things that I found, I'd like to thank you very much for putting my oh's mind at ease about them.0 -
And, of course, no "offence" was committed, because no law was broken. This is assuming that this was a private parking ticket, and not one issued on behalf of a council. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

A friend of mine works as an SIA guard has just been given a new job. He sits in a private company car park (Scotland) and although he cannot clamp drivers parking there has been instructed to drive his private car and block the car in so they cant drive out that space.
He is told to be as awkward as he can be and delay moving his car for at least 20 minutes as a deterrent to stop the person returning. What is the legal position with this situation.
The driver is trespassing (although in Scotland there is no trespass law) and thus preventing the company owner from using its own employees car park.0 -
Video him doing it. Mention the words "unlawful trespass to goods" and "personal liability".
Endure you video any name badges or numbers first and get the VRN of his vehicle - and check the tax disc, then use the text.0 -
why doesn't he install barriers or bollards to ensure only him and his employees can use it?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
