I have just found the website of Combined Parking Solutions Ltd. They reckon that they CAN impose any charge they like, even if it's over £100, and that (according to them) they have the law on their side. They even quote several court judgements that they appear to have won. What do you think? Are they correct or not? :-
This is their website:-

Not, laughably not at that in my opinion. Is there any evidence whatsoever of any PPC ever telling the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth ? A quick look at that website leads me to believe they are in breach of e-trading regulations.0

This site belongs to a well-known fantasist - google "Perky" or see other threads on here.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Help
I have just been given a parking ticket or so I believe - my wife was told that if we moved the car asap there would be no issue however, when I drove off he took a picture of my car I pulled up and questioned him and was told that he told my wife no such thing and had issued a ticket. He claimed that he told me his as I was driving away - which is an outright lie. Any advice at all?0 -

I got a ticket from a retail park car park in March my ticket had blown off the dash when i opened the hatchback to get tools from the car
I appealed against ticket sending copy of my ticket. They replied saying I have to pay.
It has taken them over 3 months to reply are they out of time on this or would I be better going down the route of letting them take me to court to claim for losses bearing in mind they didnt actually have a loss as I has a ticket in the first place.0 -

Think about it. They are a company, whose sole aim it is to make as much money as possible. Why would there be an appeals process? How would that benefit them?0 -
Don't you think it is an infringement on human rights that a private company like that can apply to the DVLA (Government Body) and pay an amount of money and get all your details from the registration number.0

I was ticketed in a Lidl car park in Three Bridges Crawley when I left the car park to go to the nearby cash machine to get the cash to spend in the Lidl store.
The first I knew about it was when I returned to the car laden with shopping.
I reported the incident to the manager of the store but he was not interested so did some research on UK Parking control and found that there was no basis in law for them to enforce the charge but nevertheless I rang Lidl customer services and told them of the incident and advised them that unless the charge was withdrawn, I would organise a boycott of their store via the local press.
Surprisingly a letter soon followed from UK Parking control waiving the fee.
