Done that too. Im just unsure about it all still since I did not shop there and I was the driver.
You should listen to Sarah. Very knowledgeable Lady on these matters. Stop worrying, ignore the scumbags and get on with your life. Write to them and they will know they have live bait on the line and they will send you more of their complimentary loo roll."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -

Ignore from now on and enjoy the rest of your life. These scammers are scumbags and just want your hard earned money.
So she can just ignore the threatening letters saying they are taking her to court0 -

Do they say they ARE taking her to Court? Or they MAY take her to Court? Not that it matters much either way - there's not much chance that they will.
If you read the numerous other threads on here, they will hopefully put your mind at rest.0 -
My daughter got a parking ticket for parking in a railway car park run by Apcoa. Now the ticket should have been £2.60 for the weekend and she forgot to put one on as she was late for the train. Anyway she had a threatening letter from a debt recovery company 2 weeks ago asking for £190.00. So she sent one of the template letters from here and now she has a letter threatening court action and saying it will be another £140.00. I though I read onhere that companies can only take you to court for the amount it cost them for you to park there i,e, £2.60. Is so how do we proceed.?
Ignore everything. They'll go away eventually. She only contacted them in the hope they would back off. So should she ignore the threat of a ccj? Thanks
Yes. They will not take her to court. In fact, the only person who could take her to court would be APCOA, but there's no money in that and they'd lose anyway. Another reason debt collectors are powerless - they threaten court action, but it's not their debt so they couldn't even if they really wanted to.0 -
Hi all. I have been follwoing this thread since the start as I had recieved a ticket demanding £40. I've not paid and have ignored everything so far. Today I got a solicitor's letter demanding the payment. Does not threaten court action but merely referring back to the original ticketer - CP Plus. Am I right to continue to ignore the letters etc?0

Which solicitor is your letter from? Graham White?
You are right to continue to ignore the letters. They will soon stop.0 -
Hi Sarah thanks for reply. Trethowans in Southhampton. The ticket was received in Glasgow0

It does look as though they are a genuine firm of solicitors:- Trethowans
Shame on them for getting mixed with this scam. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Hi. Yes I checked the website too and they certainly seem to be genuine. I suppose I am now getting a little nervous about this but if the letter does not say anything about going to court, should I be OK?0

My hubby has just been issued with a ticket from LDK security - demanding £60.00 within 14 days - rising to £90.00 after this time, for parking on a grassed area outside the Jurys Inn in newcastle upon tyne. The ticket states that he was parked without displaying a valid ticket (its a grassed area not a car park!) and that he'd parked causing obstruction or inconvenience to others (theres no one to obstruct!!) -
He's parked here on match days for the last 2 years without problems and Jurys inn advise me that they do not have anyone that takes care of parking as they do not have parking facilities!!!
I have read other posts whic say "ignore and they'll go away eventually" but the hubbys terrified that we'll end up with the bailiffs at the door and the stress might be a bit much for me considering I'm busy with a 7 day old baby!!!
Can anyone shed any light o this lot?? Are they scammers?? Is it legal?? Should I ignore it??
All help and advice would be appreciated!
