Can't help but wonder if the out of date badge would cause a problem, even though the tax disc does say disabled etc
No, because (as I said above) the blue badge scheme does not apply in private car-parks.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Thanks, it does after all look like a Tesco shopping receipt, not the standard ticket that's issued, will ignore any further contact off them, cheers

You'll get the letters shown on this thread, see the links to scanned letters under the Central Ticketing heading here:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803

Have a look now so you've seen the letters and made a mental note of the Debt Collector headings, pretty colours, bold type and ridiculous unfounded threats of CCJs and Court. Those letters mean diddly-squat and will not affect your credit rating since there is no debt.

It was not a fine. It's just a scam - and shocking that they picked on a motability car.

Worry about it no more. :)

  • Hi there,

Anyone had any dealings with TOTAL PARKING SOLUTIONS? They issued me with the 'PCN' and after I ignored their correspondence have passed it on to a company called DEBT RECOVERY PLUS LTD.

Their client is not the supermarket (as I'd presumed) where I overstayed my welcome in their lovely carpark (JEMPSOMS btw), but TPS.

    Ta.
  • Oh and this is what Debt Recovery says on its website about collecting unpaid parking tickets (my bold).

We collect on behalf of many of the UK's leading Parking Management Companies and are responsible for thousands of payments per week. We have a tailored process which has evolved over the past 6 years, to become an efficient and highly effective collection procedure, which produces industry leading results and brings every case to a conclusion.

The conclusion of many of these is non-payment.
    They are not 'cases'.

This company was only formed in December 2008 so it appears they also misrepresent time.

If you Google the words 'Total Parking Solutions forums' you'll get results from pepipoo, CAG and other respected forums which will show you all about these scammers.

On here, we have a thread which tells you about and shows you pictures of the debt collector letters that PPCs use. See here, look under Parkforce and I reckon you'll see 'your' letters from Debt Recovery Plus:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803

Are you on DRP's letter number 1, 2 or 3 at the moment? If you've not reached 3 yet then I have given you a nice preview of their next hot air threatogram. Every case does NOT reach a 'paid' conclusion I can tell you for sure! Stop reading their website and read MSE instead, learn about the scam of PPC tickets.

Just file the ticket and letters all away. I keep my fake PPC ticket and debt collector letters in my handbag to show friends about this scam and to tell them never to pay such a ticket.

Nothing will happen, just ignore it all and enjoy your life. :)

  • Thanks to you all for replying to me.

Does anyone know if WATCHDOG or some other similar consumer programme (Tv or radio) have looked into this scam?

  • Hi Guys, came across this thread whilst doing a Google search. I've received a Parking charge from the above company yesterday asking me to pay £100 within 28 days or £50 if paid within 14 days because I left the site without my vehicle. To keep it short, I parked up in the car park with every intention to go into Mcdonalds. My Mrs went across the road to purchase something that she spotted from a shop. On getting there she realised that she had left her purse in the car. I took the purse over to her and when I got back to the car, the 'warden' was just in the process of putting the ticket on my car. This was only a matter of a few minutes. After some unpleasantaries, we left Mcdonals as I was not going to purchase anything because of the way we were treated. I have read some posts stating that I should avoid any contact with these people and ignore anything that comes my way. Is this correct and what sort of time period am I looking at before they get off my back. Many thanks in advance.
