But this is only Britannia, I don't think they could string a really scary letter-chain if they tried! So 'letter after letter' is expecting a lot more than they will actually deliver.
Have another look at the first thread on the board, which gives example scanned PPC letters. I think I did already say that Britannia are among the most boringly tame of all the PPCs. They only send 2 or 3 letters and they NEVER do Court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all,
I live in a brand new housing development called holborough lakes.
Lovely place to live except the rogue private security firm who patrol it.
Yesterday i recieved a parking fine for parking in an area of the car park which had no double yellow lines, only 1 sign which faces away from the place i was parked in. I was fined 100 pounds, 150 if not payed within 15 days! once i had phoned them to complain they hang up.
I also cant get the sticky stuff off my windscreen, when i suggested they should come out and clean it off, they put the phone down!
If anyone can give me some advise i would be really gratefull. I have a next door neighbour who is in tears over her ticket which she recieved on a sunday morning at 10.00am!
Many thanks

If I recall correctly Lakeland sell something called "sticky stuff remover" it is great.
And you haven't received any fine of any sort - so ignore it0 -
"Mr Muscle" is also good for getting sticky stuff off glass.
To add to the above, this is not a "fine" and you do not owe them a penny. So just ignore don't contact them again. For further reassurance please read all the other threads on here that deal with private parking tickets. These parking companies are the lowest of the low with their bully-boy and threatening methods. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Hi i have emailed an appeal to Excel Parking on behalf of my mother, who was prepared to pay her fine - below are details of her experience. I am worried that the fine will get increased as it is has been nearly two weeks now and i have had no response the only telephone number i have for them charges at 50p per minute. I would be grateful for any advise please:
Details of your appeal:: My mother is retired and disabled with poor visibility. She is a regular user of this car park and always parks in the same disabled parking area. On this visit she parked up and displayed her disabilty permit. Unknown to her the disabled parking section has been moved to another area of the car park, she told me that there were no signs warning her when she parked. Please take into consideration my mothers age, disabilties, and familiarity with the old designated disabled parking i await your response0 -
Please, please, please, it's not a "fine", it's an unenforceable invoice. From now on do not contact this company again and ignore any correspondence from them. You are getting sucked into this scam. You and your mother do not owe them a penny and you have done nothing wrong.
Just to add, the blue badge scheme has no legal standing in private car-parks.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
