The CAG forum is reporting that OPC lost yet another case today. That makes two this week.

So that makes about 8, what is going through their pea brains?

They must be employing Perky as their legal advisor!

Thinking aloud here, it may not be as silly as it sounds - we don't know how many people have buckled and paid up after receipt of the court papers.

Must admit that did not occur to me, you may well be right that the income exceeds the outlay.

    Hi

I got a ticket yesterday in motherwell carpark from brittainia parking. It said on my ticket i was in the drawn box for parking and i was also blocking access.I have never had any tickets in the past so naturally i thought i better pay this.On the ticket it said if i paid withing 21 days it would be £30 instead of £60.
So when i got home i sent away a cheque for £30 thinking it would be the end of the matter but i decided to have a look around to see if anyone has had this happen to themselves and found tons of stuff saying ignore will go away etc.

Should i do this in the future if i get another one?I didnt really think it thro but arent the only tickets you should pay come from either the police or local authority?

I would appricate anyones opionions and also this is my first post so be kind

    thanks

Of course you should ignore them. In fact you shouldn't have sent off that £30. You have not broken any laws and you don't owe them a penny.

I wouldn't, but that's just my opinion. Others on here might disagree with me. But at least you know now to ignore all future private parking tickets.

If your bank charges less than £30 to stop a cheque then do so and never respond to these crooks ever again.
