The police can still ticket vehicles you know.

Yes and some Councils also use criminal leg but the percentage is very very low - hence I felt the mention of 'Magistrate' was inappropriate.

Yeah very good. I'm familiar with TSM but use it rarely - prefer the other sources. - BUT - that isn't the RTA is it. Neither is it Statute, it's advisory.

Its quite simple. The council or highways agency have to follow the designs in that manual. If they don't, then the restrictions cannot legally be enforced. I know this from personal experience, and anecdotal experience from the many posts I've read on the internet, and articles in print.

Before the 50s and 60s, councils would just design their own signage. There were no national standards. Today they're not allowed to do that, and rightly so.

I know what you're talking about thanks. My original point was that you said "Check the RTA, it's all in there" - which was inaccurate and misleading.

You also made reference to T-bars which, as others pointed out, are not relevant to the situation based on the info from the OP.

OP seems to have lost heart now. Shame we can't now get the basic detail.

Hi scully - I presume you've read sra's guide in my earlier post so here's a tutorial for photobucket which hopefully will get your photo online:

forget photobucket it fries my browser!

Go to tinypic. On PC, open the image in Windows 'Paint' and use the eraser to remove personal and car details.

at tinypic - click 'choose' then find image in PC and double click the file. File title will appear in the 'choose' box. Click 'Upload'. Wait a mo

Lokk bottom left. It gives you a box with 'IMG code for forums ---' copy this (all). paste directly into a reply here (but then i think there is some other site requirement of switching something on/off - see the instruction link above.

If you paste the IMG URL directly into the reply you won't see the image but when you hit 'Submit' it will appear without anyone having to link or download. Much preferred.

Need ALL of the PCN - ok?

Other advantage of tinypic is that you don't have to register - but if posting more than one image you will need to leave the 'reply' box here open while you upload and copy/paste further images - then submit when all IMG URLs are in the reply.

With respect to you guys can we keep things factual.

Im aware of the `no end on double yellows` law but the problem occurs now when there is no magistrate to plea with!!!

If i have it in law that i am right i can take them to court. Somebody else said its illegal to sell a car well im afraid that is not true at all. If it is your car and is being sold outside your premises it is NOT illegal unless they have changed the law recently, if the car is not in your name and not outside your house then as far as they are concerned you are trading and it will be towed, remember this is a different department to those that issue pcns.

I havent added the ticket as i dont know how to remove my personal details not that im bothered about but or should i be?
