I have been an e7 customer for almost a year. Today I have no broadband but a message saying words to the effect that they have ceased trading. I have to pursue e7 for any outstanding amounts - yeah right! I am being offered a continuation of service by https://www.ezeedsl.com. This is at £20 per month for 2mb service. I have never heard of this company before - has anyone else?0

Look on adsl guide. Lots of help there but do not jump at this offer. It is a 12 month contract. It could be ok, they are owned by 186K, who are in turn part of Latice group. They have bought up lots of other isp's, but our information should not be passed on like this without permission. There could be links with the old company, or their servers could have been hacked. Nobody seems to know at the moment. Go search and then put in e7.
HTH.

It's all looking very odd indeed - I would hang on too.
As Blushark says, adslguide is the best place for info, link direct to e7even forum on the post above.0 -
A further update.
I have asked folk on adslguide who have paid for the new service to trace the route taken by their ADSL. It appears that they have been reconnected to e7even.
This is now looking very suspicious - I would recommend not parting with any money yet.0 -
It appears that users that have paid the money to the new company ezeedsl are being reconnected quickly.
However, I have asked folk on adslguide who have paid for the new service to trace the route taken by their 'new' ADSL. It appears that they have been reconnected back to e7even.

Everyone should also be aware that if you sign up with the new company, you are signing up for a new 12 month minimum contract. Any outstanding time/balance with E7 won't count at all with the new company. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

needs advice - I was with E7 and they cease to exist as from today, I can look around for broadband.. but do e7 need to remove markers before I can join another one? or can I join another provider I know it will mean 7-10 no BB. There has been no info from E7. Not even an email saying they finished...
Thanks for advice

Today I have got the same problem. Firstly there was no connection, then I web page appears says the e7even can no longer provide broadband service and asking to re-purchase the service from Ezeedsl.
This totally doesn't make any sense, firstly, if that is true, the e7even should send an email to us to notice this change. Secondly, this incidence happens on a weekend, which means you can not call the customer service to confirm it. How tricky is that!!!
I would reckon to wait until monody and call the customer service, then decide, and don't give away the credit card details for now.flapsides wrote:I have been an e7 customer for almost a year. There's a lot of talk about it being a 12 month contract, but when I looked through the terms and conditions, all i could find was a line saying that if you were in a 12 month contract, you would have to pay off the remaining term to be released.
I contacted their tech support during the sign up process and told them I only wanted to sign up for one month - they didn't say that this was a problem, so as far as I'm concerned I'm on a 1 month contract.
Of course it's very possible I'm going to have a fight on my hands 30 days from now, but 2/3 weeks without internet access was not an option for me.0 -
