The 30 days only refers to the time you have to contact a new ISP and provide them with the number. Any time that they take to provide you with a service after that is immaterial.

nope, the 30 days period refers to the time when the MAC was issued to when it expires.

So you have to get it from the ISP on the day its issued ideally & get it processed within the 30 day period.

The suggestion to ask e7even for your mac code is all very well, but if like me your next chosen provider is talktalk, it may well take longer than the 30 days life that the mac code has to get connected, due to the popularity of their new service.I have been along that path with e7even, I received my code, but it has now expired and it is simply a case of waiting for talktalk to say they're ready, then I have to ask e7even again for a new code. It's a pain but something I've learned to live with, having lost connection on the 23rd march and they promised to return a call within hours, that was over 70 days ago !.

I can't believe you're still without a connection islandman, this has been going on for ages, pehaps you might have been better off asking for a cease on the line - at least you know the line would be ready for TalkTalk when necessary.

Also, djohn2002uk is correct - provided the MAC is processed by your new ISP within the 30 day period, it doesn't matter when they can actually provision the service. A transfer with a MAC can be arranged well in advance.

Still on e7 here, connection is working perfectly but something is going on - they have been closed to new customers for a while now, and existing customers trying to renew at the end of their contract are being provisioned with broadband for free... until, presumably, new arrangements for taking subscriptions can be made. Who knows what's happening...

Oh, and CS has been upgraded from 'none-existant' to 'poor'.;)

I've been without connection today on e7broadband realm...

The news on the adslguide forum is that e7even have finally kicked up their heels - users were redirected to another Tiscali reseller's website early this morning saying that e7even had gone bust, and offering to take over the adsl supply. This notice has since disappeared.

BBUK customers seem to be unaffected at the moment.

There seems to be some confusion as to whether Tiscali have pulled the plug, if e7even are actually defunct, or if it's a some sort of orchestrated hack into Tiscali/E7even's system.

No one seems to know for sure...

This happened about a week ago, fortunately I have a copy of mine so I can supply the relevant info to the CC company if the end has finally come.
