Where have all the e7even promoters like "e7 is great" gone to, I have to ask. There were quite a few warning signs, let's hope it isn't a permanent problem!! There are a lot more comments on this thread as well:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=126082
"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
Money upfront was a warning sign and more cash upfront to up-grade speed was another.
Hope it gets sorted out for all who subscribed.
Reminds me of Breathe ISP.0 -
There has be NO update at all to the status on the e7even site for today.
This is totally inexcusable.
I still have no connection.
My question now is - how do I get a MAC number to transfer elsewhere if e7even continue to REFUSE to communicate. All my emails and messages have been ignored.0 -

You will have to cancel and go with another isp.0 -

The plot thickens....
Sick of trying the 0800 dial-up, I dug out the Smartcom modem I got when I joined e7even. Had only used it for a week or so then I changed to a Linksys WiFi modem/router - I can now connect again.!! (was getting PPoA Authorisation Fail with the Linksys).
Will have to have more of a dig when I get chance, but either my router has turned its toes up (unlikely or it wouldn't be trying to connect) or some subtle change has been made at the other end (worked ok for about 36 hours after the change to e7broadband).
The bad news is that it's still slower (but cheaper) than my old dial-up account... (but faster than the e7 0800)0 -
Read these excellent posts by Rex-Mundi and GuyWise about E7, on this thread. The thread has now been closed , don't know why, but I think maybe referrals for any particular company should be regularly reviewed.

The router tries to log on once then gives up & requires a reboot. The usb modem allows you to attempt logon many times which is why you can get on with your usb modem but not the router. I am doing the same as you.
At the moment I have been without decent connection since 29/12. I can logon on using the usb modem after 20 attemps but speeds are a pitiful 34k dl which is slower than a 56k modem. I have requested my mac code from them & a refund for my remaining 4 months. if i don't hear back i will contact bt to get them to disconnect me & will be contacting my credit card company as e7even are in breach of contract.0 -
Hi Roses - dunno if it is a retry thing as I'm using the Smartcom via ethernet (it does both ethernet and usb). Getting same sort of speed as you today (was running around twice as fast yesterday - the full 75k...! not bad for a 1meg line).
Stop press - speed just shot up to 120k (for a few seconds) - maybe they change hamsters at 7:30.
ps - has also lost the link to newsgroups (downloads all the the 0 headers pretty quick though)0 -
No it loaded quick as a flash.
I've been back on a couple of days now and things for me are better than they have been. Although this site was a bit sticky earlier today everywhere else has been a doddle.
No doubt when they get everyone back on line things may go downhill but for the moment, apart from the fact that none of my tickets were issued and no emails replied to, I've got off better than some.
I think a progress report on their site would be polite even if it's just to say work progressing and the situations improving, if that is the case.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
