I would imagine that everything will be sent back to suppliers to get the cost price back, the only remaining stock therefore would be food/sweets etc, old stock and own brand stock. I doubt that will be reduced as much either- the store is on several hundred million pounds debt, they will need to get back as much of that as possible so they can pay their staff.

I doubt also that even the staff will know exactly wahts going on or what will be reduced, as its so much in the press right now, I'll bet insiders have a better grasp of whats going on then messages passed along the chain from managet to managet to store assistant. I also don't think it would be in their interest to be told "your out next week" they will need to maintain staff moral and a good level or service.

Play stations and Wiis etc may also be sold off to other stores such as Game or Tesco who may buy out what they have. It would not do these stores any good for them to have Woolies underselling them to such a degree, so I can imagine they will try their best to get hold of the stock.
