woolworths, everything a pound!!!!!

i have just heard from someone who works in toys r us that woolworths are going to have a day soon that they are selling everything for a pound!!!

they cannot afford to keep open anymore and need to get rid of stock.. no date so that there are no stampedes. do not know if this is only a rumour but i am certainly going to keep my ear top the ground as so to speak!!!!

    OMG !!!!! I swear I had a dream about this a few nights ago ............. everything in woolies for £1 (in my dream I bought loads of board games and toys) ..................... I thought it was just my overactive imagination (and wishful thinking) ................ or just reading too much on the MSE forums. Lets see if this actually comes true (I hope so)

    Do you honestly think they would sell everything for £1?

    I'm still friends with my ex manager and have it on good authority that Woolies will be open well into January

    I heard poundland were going to undercut woolworths and everything was going to be 97.5p....some rumour about saving money due to VAT cut:rolleyes:

    Didn't realise Toys R Us had replaced Robert Peston as the de-facto source for key business news, or is it Woolies itself for a quid?!
