I'm going to get a pair of scales that show the ounces too, I'd like to know if I have at least lost half a lb!
I *THINK* I have lost 1lb (FINALLY) I spent the night at my mums yesterday, babysitting, and scarfed loads of naughties:o , though I did resist the chinese and make chilli from scratch instead. Anyhow, when I got home I naturally weighed myself, because I'm OCD about it, and it said 13st 8lbs, BUT I had eaten breakfast and drank loads of pop, so HOPEFULLY, tomorrow morning it will say 13st 1lb....*WISHFUL THINKING* 13st 7lb!

Fingers crossed anyways, I've lost over 3stone in as many months but It's super slowed down to about an lb a week, granted I do hardly any exercise, unless loading the washing machine and doing dishes counts, hehe.
I do suffer bad back pain, I have a benign tumour right beside my spine, which should be out within the next 2months, so hopefully once that's out, I can use my exercise bike, which has turned out to be quite a handy clotheshorse:p

I went out for my first Christmas lunch yesterday and I have about 3 more before Christmas Day plus a drinks party. I think I am going to abandon you and start again on January 1.

    Good luck to everyone

Okay Lolly, enjoy yourself and make healthy choices when you can.

No doubt we will all be here on 1st Jan for the 'Shed the Christmas Excess' challenge!

Hi Dragon - yes its a fibro flare. I know what happened - I went to a christmas festival yesterday - did quite a bit of driving and a lot of sitting on a hard pew. Came back, felt great, sat and watched the x factor final on sky plus, went to bed, slept like a log........

Woke up feeling like I've had an altercation with a ten ton truck.

So I have stayed in bed today - I have learned over the years that sometimes a duvet day is called for!

  • Hi everyone,

Well done to you all , keep up the good work!

Just wanted to offer a piece of advice for you all, dont weigh yourself everyday, it is really disheartening, you should do it once a week maximum, and if you could go even longer then even better..
You really wont notice a 'honest' difference if you are weighing yourself everyday, it will vary because of time of day, what you have eaten, and time of the month etc all come into it.

Anyway, hope you all keep it up, Im too busy to join in at the mo, but I maybe back, got half a stone of babyweight to shift, that I lost but have managed to put back on over winter :-(

    WooooHoooooo!!!!

    I have lost 2.5 lbs this week!!! :j :j :j

I am so happy! That means I am on target for my half stone - and more importantly, I should tip the scales to under 12 stone some time this week.

Then I shall be going for 11st 6 lbs, which was what I weighed in Summer 2007. I piled weight on shortly after that, when I had relationship problems and although the weight gain stopped when the relationship finally ended, it has taken me untilo now to make a concerted effort to sort myself out. So this is really good for me!

Thanks so much for your support girls!

    Daisy xx

Actually I have been advised by the doctors to weigh myself every couple of days/daily so that I can keep a track of what my medication does to my weight .

In better news 2.5 pounds OFF this week! This takes me to 4.5 pounds lost since the start of December WOOT!!

I weigh myself every morning because I need that routine to help me stay focussed. It doesn't worry me that some days the scales are a bit up, so long as I know why (which I usually do) and as long as the over all trend is down...

which it is at the moment :j

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I'm still here!

I'm doing ok, in fat, somthing weird is happning. I've gon off food entirly and am really struggling to make my calories in healthy choices. (bizarrely for me th only thing that appeals is Indian food, and wine, which I'm not touching- either.) My skin looks like a war zone and I'm homonal, I normally want every carb in UK at this time, but not so right now. TBH, I almost wondred if I were preganant at the nd of last week verything is so odd. But I'm not. I'v still not weighed, but for th forst time in ages my mother noticed I looked lik I'v lost a little and I'm certainly feling lik things are working.

BTW ith th wighing, I'm normally a rgular daily weigher too. I did when I was slim and fit, and I think not facing the scales, despite variations in water/hormone/ otherr influnces things get out of hand: its a good idea to not take the rading to seriously mor than once a week, but to face one's choices isn't so awful, just as long as you don't read too much into it, IMO. The reason I'm not this time is bcause I can't take the bad news, and I'm cping mor than fin without. I'v set a clothing size to gulp at and take the bad news and continue from there. But I'm with this programme as commitedly as anyone.

I hopped on the scales this morning and another 1.5 pounds were off! If I can keep this off AND lose another pound then I will have lost the 7 pounds in total :j - only a week left to do it in as well

Hi Dragon, Yep, we are up against the deadlines now - one more Monday weigh in, then a three day week till Christmas Eve! WE CAN DO IT! :D

Well done Lostinrates, for sticking with it. Even if you don't use the scales, you will feel the benefit from your clothes. But I promise you, once you decide to weigh yourself, and start charting the weight loss on the calorie count programme, you will be amazed how motivating it is to see the graph heading south!

Whenever you're ready Hun..... we'll be back here in the New Year, I'm sure ;)
