    I've been Money Tipped!
    Today I wore a size smaller dress than I was wearing last week. It feels good, not even slightly tight. :)

    I don't feel too pressured about Christmas eating. So far I've stuck to water when out - driving anyway. We have a houseful at Christmas, and I'm sure I'll have some snacks then, and I'll have Christmas pudding, but I'm not too pressured about it. Something has just clicked, and although my skin is not looking good weight must be coming off, and I'm feeling a lot less worried about it. This has been a wonderful kick start. Dealing with it in a short time frame has been easier.

    How soon after Christmas are you guys prepard to re-group for a January thread? ;)

    Hi sorry I haven't weighed myself today - I was doing great by Thursday - I'd lost 1.5 lbs and was well on target, but I have gone down with this flippin lurgy again and am feeling totally carp. Somehow I always put weight on when I'm ill, even though I'm hardly eating anything - where is the justice in the world???????

    Anyways, we still have a few days to go (I reckon I'll have my last weigh-in christmas day morning :o

    Hows about 1st Jan for a two week speed drop to ditch any christmas excess? :D

    Well Done You for losing the half stone!

    I was within half a pound.... but have now put 3lb back on :mad:

    I am still trying to shift a chest infection though - like most people with chronic health conditions, I succumb easily to these things and find it takes a while to shake them off.

    But by 1st Jan, I will be hopping around, full of beans, and raring to go

    (I'm practising my NLP :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

    On the epidemiology of influenza this paper explains why we get more colds/flu/upper respiratory tract infections in winter.

    The point when the production of cathelicidin
    stops when 25(OH)D levels fall below 20ng/ml.

    The lower under this point you get the greater the chance of infection. The higher your Vitamin D status the less chance of infection.
