  • Morning everyone,
    yesterday went ok (apart from the chocolate biscuit i scoffed waiting for OH to get home so we could eat dinner). At work later where there is a lot of temptation so I need to be strict with myself. Here's todays plan:

    Breakfast=toast and marmalade, small glass banana and blueberry smoothie
    Lunch=tuna sandwich, apple, raisins
    Dinner=Salad or soup, or both! not decided
    Snacks=low fat hm muffin

    will also make the effort to walk 2 miles to work (and not catch the bus as usually do). Hope everyone has a good day

    Keiss - well done on your weight loss:T I noticed you use soya milk - what's it like? I have got some in the fridge but havent summoned up the courage to try it yet (DH got it for me its organic soya milk - he's a milkman so it was free:j ) I suffer from IBS and want to try and cut down my dairy a bit to see if that helps. I did hear that it might curdle in hot drinks:confused: I usually use skimmed milk.

    Taplady I used to use soya milk in hot drinks and didn't have any curdling problems. I have IBS (related to fibromyalgia) and discovered I was dairy/wheat/pork/turkey/cauliflower/msg intolerant. Giving them all up for 3 months 'cured' my IBS, and I found after that I could have them all in small amounts with no problems.

    Still carrying some extra totm weight but it's going down so hoping by monday will be back to normal and get in 3 weeks good losing again before next time!

    thanks shelBell, I have already given up meat. Luckily wheat doesn't seem to bother me, did you have some intolerance tests then? I've got a Drs appointment with my new doc in a few weeks to talk about the IBS, hoping she'll have something new to offer me.

    Yes, i had 2 lots of intolerance tests done privately, with different companies (and different methods) and they both picked up the same things. Never got anywhere with my GP and the IBS.

    Well done to the losers.

    So far to-day have had porridge with cranberries, honey, banana and milk and cup coffee...going to put on early dinner in a bit, I'm having the stew left over from the other day, not sure what I will give the others.

    Thanks for good wishes, feel ok so far to-day, so maybe cloud is lifting again

    I have IBS and it is a real nusiance. I find that one of the worst things for me is Quorn - it wrecks my guts! I also have problems with lots of sugary things and I can't eat too much veg at one time. It is also really badly triggered by stress or worry of any kind. ATM I am waiting for some gynae investigations and my IBS is really bad because I am so worried. I don't get the colicky pain with it - just the wind and the runs, plus general bloating and indigestion. I have never bothered with intolerance tests becuase they are quite expensive and I'm not sure that they actually work. It's miserable though so you have my sympathy.

    My eating over the last few days has been okay but not great. I weighed in this morning with a STS, but was expecing a gain. As I said I am worried and anxious ATM and that always makes me eat rubbish. Weird isn't it? Some people just can't eat when they're worried - I'm just the opposite!

    Well done to losers and other STSers. Hope you are all okay in this terrible weather. We haven't had any snow here at all and it's not even that cold!

    I'm like that too - wish I lost my appetite when upset or worried but nope I devour everything sugary in sight :o

    Chocolate has been on the menu this week with the car issues :o

    Hope your investigation all goes ok RS. Everything always seems worse while you're waiting and not really knowing. :o
