Hi all! Just popping on to add my first day's meal plan, half way through the day and getting slightly bored but I'm resisting the cupboard! Did a fair bit of exercise today, walking 1 mile in and 1 mile out of town in the very thick snow!
Breakfast - 2 Slices WM bread with carrot and parsnip "pate"
Lunch - Multigrain seeded bagel with tomatoes, lettuce and cream cheese
Dinner - HM Shepherds Pie (OH real mince, mine with Quorn) bulked up a bit with some lentils and carrots on the side.
Snacks - 1 Banana (so far) probably an apple a bit later.
newlywed - Thanks for the idea about the piccies! I managed to find a picture of myself in my much much slimmer days and printed it to keep on the fridge, and another to keep on the "snack" cupboard :rotfl:Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time0 -
hi to everyone and
to everyone who needs it.

spugzbunny - you have my sympathies - bad stomachs are the worst. I hope you are feeling better soon.
I had a complete write off of a day. One of the girls at work brought in all sort of naughty nibbles as it was her birthday - cakes, pringles choccie biccies. I was nervous because I was worried about having to go out in my car in the snow - the roads were treacherous.
So I ate all the pringles and the choccie biccies.
Toast for breakfast, pizza for tea.
cost £1.16 leaving £3.41Popsy0 -
Oh dear disastrous evening, couldn't get into the room to do my beans on toast so ended up with a mint aero and a bag of crisps
I am still in work now and starving but I can't leave my workbench to go to the shop. At least I get to go home at 10 so thats only a 15 hour day today
Hopefully tomorrow will be better but OH wants to go to Gourmet Burger kitchen and I looooove the falafel burger but its huge so small lunch is in order to minimise the damage0 -
Morning folks
Fortunately no more snow over night though it was forecast by the bucket load so I am grateful for small mercies. I hope everyone is safe after this bad weather and being extra careful. I know I am fortunate that I can't work when moments like this arise so I am not left with trying to get into work. I am climbing the walls a bit after being cooped up inside as I am about as steady on my feet as a drunk skunk with out adding snow or ice into the equation  One of the joys of ms is my unique walk which as a style all of its own but I am really thankful that I can walk. Prior to my weight loss my mobility was decreasing at a rate of knots. Atfer losing the weight my mobility has improved and I can see now what was caused by weight and what is MS.
Todays the dreaded day  Whats this day I hear you ask. Its my weekly weight day it sees whether I have been a :A or. So I hopped on the scales this week and I am down 3lbs this week. I know this sounds good but I had put on 2lb last week. So I am now 12 stone 8 pounds does sound so bad when I say it quick
Not quite the weight I was prior to the new scales which put me up 4lbs. So 2lbs to get off and I will be back to what I was prior to the new scales about a month ago.
I have been putting my thinking cap on today to think what to have for food.
so here is my food for today
BREAKFAST: cereal and flaxseed
DINNER: jacket potato and low fat cheese with side salad.
TEA: leek and potato soup
SNACKS: yoghurt, nuts, fruit
bye for now and take care all

purpleorc - well done on the loss:T
day off again today :j
day went well yesterday with 1 aberration(sp?):o DH and I walked into town and he wanted to go into the sweet shop - we have a wonderful old fashioned sweet shop with all the old favourites in big jars and you get them weighed on the scales and in little paper bags. I wasn't going to have any but the lady who works there said 'go on you dont need to diet you dont carry any extra weight' so I promptly gave in and had a small bag of cinder toffee:D it was delicious and during the afternoon I ate it all:whistle:DhH had about 5 bags of different sweets so I did well to stick to one I think:A
apart from that the day went well, lots of walking so hopefully I didn't do much damage.
Food today
I'm also having HM leek and potato soup - I see Marion and purpleorc are having it too.
B - 2 weetabix with added seeds and raisins
S - banana

Well, I have lost another pound! :j:j
I can't believe that I am managing to lose weight despite doing no "exercise", in fact doing very little these days. In the past I was always unable to lose weight unless I exercised a lot as well as cutting down the calories...but I am glad that the pounds are coming off, if slowly. Just imagine what I will achieve once I get mobile again!
Hugs :grouphug: to everyone this morning, especially:
marie and spugzbunny - hope you feel better soon
retiredlady - hope the eye test went well, I know your eyesight does go weird after the drops!
newlywed - good luck in getting the car sorted...they can be quite a drain on resources, especially when you don't have much left!
Thanks for all your comments and good wishes, especially purpleorc -I concentrate on a high fibre, low fat, low sugar diet for all of us and it tends to work reasonably well. I do have to make high sugar snacks as well for DS2 to take when he is hypo, though the flapjacks are mainly eaten by DS1 and DH (I do have the odd piece once in a while)!!
The snow started falling this morning at 7 and hasn't stopped since...it's a good 1.5 to 2 inches deep now. DS2's school is closed for the second day in a row, and DH is working from home. DS1 has walked the 1.5 miles into work this morning. He spent yesterday dusting cards and today will no doubt get onto books again (he works in a book shop), I expect there will be few customers again. DH will collect him tonight by car. He did offer to take him in, but DS1 wanted to walk!
Well I had better go and see how DS2 is getting on with his Maths homework...we got a letter today saying that he hadn't in his last lot (!) Admittedly he was absent due to his knee being bad, but he hasn't done any of it! Oh well, I can see my brain being stretched. I did do up to second year University Maths, but I have forgotten lots of it...and it is talk so differently these days. I am not going to let GCSE Maths defeat me though!
Oh food for today:
B: Porridge made with water + soya milk and raisins; OJ
S: SatsumaB Beans on toast (HM)
S: HM cinnamon & raisin bun
T: HM Chicken fajitas...must make some tortillas for them...where is Mrs M ?
So bye for now, and have a good weekend all of you...I may pop on in the next day or two.
M x
PS well done on all those weight losses!
