Well, I've now managed 3 days! I don't know how it's happened. Not perfect, but pretty good. Dinner last night was a good one, a really nice frittata with a little chorizo in it. Pepper, corn, onions. I had one tsp of parmesan on the top of mine, made four portions so ds is using the extra couple for pack up.

    Today has been OK.

    Breakfast banana, yoghurt and honey
Lunch : Selection of bits and pieces that needed using up - salad leaves, potato, coleslaw (HM), spoon of sweetcorn. 1 tsp parmesan to liven it up.
Dinner: Roast chicken, bubble and squeak (merest spot of oil!) carrots, broccoli and leeks. DS a couple of little yorkshires from the freezer which were left over sometime.

Snack was a pear and some carrots. Going to have a bit of something now.

I don't know how long this will last. Hopefully long enough to get me back into some of my clothes without me having to buy anything.

Keiss didn't have any choice but to get on with the sewing, it's a big paying job, approx 50 hours.

Well done on the loss taplady, all the more satisfying after being a bit naughty. :D

Yesterday went ok. had fish and peas and potato wedges for dinner, but I've run out of frylite so needed to use oil. They were yummy tho. have realised I've not had a cig for at least a week/10 days so that's probably why I've been grazing a bit. Feel like a cold's coming on too - bleurgh.

    B: clementine

    L: Baked risotto (an experiment!)

    D: pasta and tomato sauce

S: shape yoghurt, slice of toast

JoJoB - you could refill your frylight container with oil so that you get a mist - not sure if it would work but worth a try!:)

Well I went to the doctors yesterday for a referral to the nurse about losing weight/dropping my blood pressure through diet & to have a referral to the gym. Good news was my BP was down to 130/93 as opposed to 160/99 last week - probably as I didn't have DD with me :rotfl: And my pulse was at 88  Apparently this is bad so I need to get fitter as well as loose weight. Also bad news is that the gym isn't taking anyone else on until the end of March  So its Wii Fit+ at home for me until then.

I've been given a table of foods so I'm going to try and revise my meal plan as of Monday to take it into consideration. Not happy at some of the things I'm meant to avoid, like worcestershire sauce, packet soups, cheeses, sausages, roast potatoes and chocolate  Looks like DD and I will be having a "use it or lose it" weekend when it comes to food :(

Tonight we were going to have slow cooker beef casserole - now changing it to Steak pie (I have one in the freezer), roast potatoes (Asda ready made frozen ones), roast parsnips (also readymade). Don't know what veg we'll have, I'm thinking carrots & sweetcorn. I know its carb heavy but I need to get through this stuff :(

  • Well done on the loss taplady and congrats on getting your BP down nicki :)

Yesterday was quite a good day for me; managed to stick to food plan and went to my hour-long dance class in the evening. Also resisted the carb-fest of toast and muffins that OH decided to have at 10pm and instead enjoyed a cup of tea and small pot of sugar free jelly. Small steps, but in the right direction at least. Today's plan looks like this:

B: Porridge made with skimmed milk, half banana, small sprinkle of raisins
L: Light cream cheese on HM seeded bread, mullerlight yog, pear
    Snack: Apple
D: Wholewheat spaghetti with a tomato/veg sauce and some chopped turkey bacon
    Snack: Apple/pear

Exercise: 5K run at gym and 100 sit ups

Hope everyone has a good day - almost Friday!
  • Eltee - congratulations on your loss.

Congratulations to all who have stayed on plan

Niki - that IS good news on the blod pressure, and well done for making the commitment to get some Wii fit in before joining the gym . My dad was prescribed fitness classes after a heart attack , they had a special group session, will you have the same thing?

Miss Cupcake - WELL DONE for resisting the carbs.

I claim a small triumph yesterday of climbing into a warm bath instead of the cake tin after getting soaked on my way home.

Have decided to post my food for the previous day now, as it more honest to give the actual events rather than the planned version!

    So Weds:
    oats
    carrot
    natural yoghurt
    bean salad with chilli sauce
    orange
    yoghurt
veg, fish and veg with a slice of rye bread

    Best wishes to all.

Ah, brilliant! I've just done that, with half oil and half water. Will see if that combo works or just makes things soggy. :D

And am making 4 small potato wedges to test ;)

I think so. I just know its £12 for a 12 week course at the local sport centre and then I get £6 back if I attend them all ;) I'll have someone working with me, advising me on the machine etc. I'm hoping it will jump start the weightloss for me, although I know doing stuff on the wii fit will also help ;)

Currently printing things off the BHF website about healthier diet stuff. I found one booklet with lots of recipes in so I'll be looking closely at that one and introducing them into my diet I think :D
