Today wil be a long cycling day - around 11 miles, will update each day the following morning i think! my plan always varies from the actual

Are lattees really bad? It's my one treat a day in work and i thought it was just frothy milk but people seem under the impression they are really fattening. Using semi sk milk.

  • Hi
Well yesterday wasn't too bad, took home made cakes and cookies into work as it was my bday, and DS and I shared pizza in chips with a salad for me. Today I will have a large salad for dinner, and soup for lunch. Need to get some exercise in as well so a good walk after lunch I think.

Morning all and welcome to all newbies and returnees :)

Well I braved the scales after getting back from Boston and I am exactly the same as when I left which is a relief to say the least ;) Back on track today but I am faced with the challenge of re-stocking cupboards and the freezer as OH, who usually does the majority of the cooking, decided he was on strike while I was away and only ate things that could be made from a pack of chicken thighs! As a result the fridge is full of limp veg that I will have to try and salvage into something and the bread is like a rock. I'm sure I will find some hairy green delights further back in the fridge that will need to be disposed of!

B: Almonds Oats and More with skimmed milk (absolutely foul but it was a free sample and due to OH's strike action I had no other option ;) )

L: Not sure, I spotted asingle wholemeal pitta thats not stale but whether there is anything salad-like to bulk it out in addition to tuna remains to be seen

D: Probably chicken and veg pie to use up some of the sad veggies. If they are beyond saving then I have no idea

    Hi All!

    * 12 - Cycle from work to vets (just past h ome). Then cycle home to give cat tablets - realise keys in work and my soup was at home (as i had planned to stay home for soup)
    * 1230 - cycled back to work , stayed here for 30 mins
    * Went to solicitors in town - more cycling. Then cycled back to work. Then cycled home
    * friend called who ive not seen in a long time so no time for dinner or food

Particularly bad busy hectic tried to plan it well but failed day

    Food & Ex

B - Nutty cereal (have in cupboard so using up ) SS milk
    S - Banana & Lattee
L - Half brown bread chicken sandwich
D - (10pm:eek:) Other half of sandwich and 25g crisps
S - 2/3 of a jam doughnut (it was a free gift from the man I bought my sandwich from or else i never would have bought it)

    E - 11miles approximately

    not happy with myself.

    Today

    Hi all,

Been out and about picking blackberries today, didn't get quite as many as I'd hoped but it was enough for a batch of bramble jelly so I'm hapy with that. I'm covered with bubble stingies (nettle stings) and have spiders in my hair but I've walked quite far and done a fair bit of climbing in my quest for berries :)

B: Raisins Oats and More (the last free sample and glad its gone, bleurghhhh)

L: Nothing as I got up late and went out for blackberries

D: Wholemeal veggie spaghetti bolognese with a big side salad and 3 circles of garlic bread

S: Might have some plum crumble later if I feel like it and have enough flexibility in my daily plan.

Well done all, stick with it

Just checking in before I go visiting family for a few days. Hoping to eat well as I have given forewarning that I dont wan any junk so it should be OK. Bit gutted that I put on my jeans that I bought and wore for Boston last week and now after washing they are stupid-tight, I dont weigh any more or less but they arent as comfy anymore. I washed them cold too :(

B: Nothing, bread I bought yesterday is 2 days out of date and mouldy

L: 2 small wholemeal rolls with tuna, red onion and a little light mayo, bag of Walkers French fries

D: Chana massala, boiled rice and 2 poppadoms

    S: Nothing

    Have a great weekend all

  • Hello

Hope you don't mind me joining in.

I'm a bit of a comfort eater, I use to be super fit and healthy (bar the smoking) so I stop smoking and started eating I was just over 8 stone (Feb 08) and 2 weeks ago I was 9st 9, but I have had one of the worst weeks in my life and now I'm 9st13, I have gone through 4 packets of biscuits, 1 ice cream, 6 bars of chocolate and a whole load of other crap.

On a better note I've been to the doctors and re-joined the gym (although I can't go at the moment because I hurt my back last week and still giving a little jip - but intend to go next week for light routine).

I think sharing and making friends here will really help me, I moved to this town a year ago and don't have any "friends" I talk to mams at the school and that's it really - going through a rough patch in the domestic department, but like I said I've been to the doctors and I'm ready to tackle the weight - well more really to do with the fitness - I've gotten so out of shape.

    Well anyway

    today I'm having

    breakfast 2 slice WM toast
Dinner Leek & Potato Soup (HM)
Tea Sheppards Pie & Veg (HM)

I don't have any junk food in, so snacking will be fruit or nuts.

    Tomorrow we having

    bran flakes
bacon, sausage, tomatoes & toast for lunch
Rabbit pie & veg for tea

We hopefully going swimming with the little ones tomorrow if my back easies up, got codine for the pain which is really helping.

    Anyway bye for now
  • huston - don't worry, you're not alone! I'm a comfort eater too. I'm having an awful day and I just want to go home, open a bottle of wine & eat my weight in junk food! I've already been munching at work, had a veggie sausage roll at tea break time & had a fudge donut at lunchtime.
I try not to keep much junk in the house because of this but I found half a pack of biscuits yesterday and a bar of choc left over from my birthday. Might see if I can go out tonight so I'm not left moping and munching!
Up until today I had being doing quite well so don't want to spoil it too much!

Welcome Huston! You will fit in here !

Floyd, i find jeans are always tighter after washing. Wear them in the house to "break them in" and hopefully they will loosen again?

Ive had stress central so have fallen off
    Today
    Small piece of toast
    Corrie chicken sandwich
Going for a chippy because ive had a horrendous day . (did you say comfort eat? hehe) I found out my cat has a heart murmur and its been a whole big journey going on for weeks, so i need to go out instead of sitting crying .

    E - cycle 3 miles . Hours of cleaning.
