Thanks taplady!
Think I'm starting to see/feel the effects of no exercise + junk food and I don't like it! The sooner I'm back on my feet the better!
Good think the cakes & things are nearly all gone. Although I have been eating healthier meals to try and balance it out.
Still not attempting a weigh in until next week though!
Hope everyone's doing well!0 -
Hi purpleskies, why don't you take this time to work on your arms and tummy?
sit ups should be good exercise, you could do crunchies by putting knee to ankle area on a sofa - that will also keep your toe out of harms way!
Do you have an exercise ball and some weights for doing arm exercises? if not try sitting on a hard chair and using bottles of water or baked bean cans as weights for arm raises.
hope the toe is better soon and you can get around more.0 -
:hello:Hello I am new
my brief history:
I have lost 2 stone since christmas and i have another 10 lbs to loose to get to goal weight.
however as I feel quite good at the moment I can feel myself slipping and am scared that I don't have the will power for the final push - this is where you lot come in !!!
I have a young family and quite an active lifestyle - so i need to cook wholesome food to keep us all going.
today :
b 2 crumpets and jam
l BURGER AND CHIPS (AAAHHHHHH)
d plaice and peas
also going to go for a run to try and counteract the junk food.0 -
ok done alot better today
went for a 3 mile run last night
breakfast: cereal and milk
lunch - tuna sandwich
dinner - not been to shop yet0 -
Thanks mlz1413!
Tried going out for a little walk today at lunchtime since it was such a nice day but it may have been too much too soon!
Yes I really should try to work on my arms and stomach. I've just been a bit lazy recently!
I usually use water bottles for weights which have worked quite well for me in the past.
I have thought about getting an exercise ball. Do you have one? Do you find it particularly useful?0 -
wow, its quiet on here isnt it!
not great today but not as bad as it could have been, a bit too much picking. i must get into the swing of things.
have ds birthday party on sunday so that could be tough.
i REALLY want to lose the last 8lb in the next 7 weeks, surely that cant be too difficult.
must try harder:o
have a great weekend, and please get posting...........i need the motivation

... been posting on here infrequently over the past few weeks, my motivation keeps coming and going, life seems to throw up so many distractions and I find it hard to focus on exercise
so fast foward last weekend, staying at friends house, caught site of myself from behind, with spanx style pants, well words cannot describe the disgusting vision of wobbly flesh hanging below the cheeks of the pants/top of my legs... sorry for the stark description, but i need to go public, part of the public shaming to ensure my !!! is kicked into action
we had a busy weekend, lots of booze etc so only getting my energy back now... walked kids to school y'day, circa 40 mins there and back, then did 20 mins of weights
today is wedding anniversary so diet is a bit off...
breakfast hm pancakes
lunch - small choc bar
tea - chinese buffet ( resisted dessert)
snack - popcorn
i just jumped on the scales but was horrified at the result, so going to try again in the morning, my usual weigh in time in vain hope that its not as bad as it looks
i look like I am at least 4 months pregnant, am worried about how this excess weight will affect my health
so resolution is no more carbs at supper, lots more excerise, more weights in particular as the last time I lost weight this was how i lost it
vixtress - i notice from your signature that you have had a brilliant year - would love to know more about how you did that (did a search on your previous posts to get some ideas but laptop is v v slow) thanks a mill0 -
Hello
Quick sign in before I head off for the day - visiting relatives so meals a bit undecided. Not been too bad most of the week but yesterday was a struggle. We are plagued with ferral teens who make our lives a misery until all hours of the morning 4 - 6pm not unusual, where do their parents think they are? Police completely unhelpful. Last night OH needed to go and collect DD19 at midnight but up to 12 of them were sitting on his car, called the police but they never came. Just had to wait for them to move which thankfully they did. Having teens myself I thought I could cope but these are so aggresive, usually drunk or doped. Police say do not approach but do nothing to help.
Sorry for the rant needed to get it out of my head so I could go see aged parents with a sunny disposition.
