My Bil has offices there like a job center think called recruitment offices he has people on his book looking for workers and has people looking for work if he gets them work he takes a percent of thier wage, dont have a clue how much he takes.Also employs a cleaning for each office, clener for there house, even sends there washing out to be washed,dried and ironed
I may have no money an in pain 90%of the time but im a very Rich person have a hubby that does his best for all of us, have kids that have hearts of gold !!!!!!s but kind ones and i have 2 brothers both older 1 lives not far and one is about 70 miles away we always help one another out, we all no we are there for one another and love eachother.
Hubby put foot down telling his mum and dad they can not come to us this boxing day (hes really hurt by his dad aggreeing with his bro about xmas even tho he nos we dont have money like that, and coz his dad is now refuseing to speak or acknowledge me because of this) and has asked my brother that lives near to come to ours for the hols so not on own useually he would cook our mums dinner boxing day but cant this year so best if he is with us, and if we can we are going to get together with our eldest bro but he has to go and get is mil, shes lovely, having hips done in 3 weeksso it depends where they all will be,
Because ofall of the replys i have had of all of you,i dont fel as tho i am negleting our kids or mentally abusing them, i have got them 100% more of ebay than i would of been able to do in the shops,and when the kids looking for stuff we always ask them to give us an idea they lways look on ebay write down what it is then they look for the cheapes of that item,Lucky lady i am indeed.we have our ups and downs but always there dor one another and no one goes to bed with out say night love you see you in the morning even our middle son who can be a real huffer and the 19 yr old weather hes just going of with his mates will say see you after love you,we cant be that bad.

YOU ALL HAVE HELPED ME SO MUCH i cant explain how much you have got me thro this i no its nothing major, just really upset me i think im just way to soft always been like this would rather give my last pound of fiver to someone that needed it.

It sounds to me like you have a lovely family (BIL apart) and you are doing your absolute best for them.

Yes, children like gifts at Christmas but more importantly you are giving them the best gift in life, a loving and warm family to grow up in, security and knowing they are cared for. No amount of money can buy that.

If I had a choice as to which family my children grew up in, I would choose yours over your BILs every time. I also would far rather be with you on Christmas day than your BILs!

You have riches beyond belief with your family. Being so materialistic as your BIL and FIL means that they are poor in comparison to you. You have a loving caring family and I am so glad to hear that yoyr DH has put his foot down.

May you have a wonderful Christmas which I am sure you will surrounded by such a great family

I reward money grabbers with 'something I have made' and a long explanation of how I love them soooooo much and time is more precious than money and the kids of today blah blah blah.

If I like them really, marzipan fruits. If not, stodgy fruit cake. And bribe the kids to cry if he says he doesnt like it in front of them, to add to guilt trip.

AN update with Bil,down today im not going round to mil fil, hubbt taking his kids thte book each and £5 each.Them pair getting nowt,Reason he wanted people to pay £50 to go wedding said thought it would save them being embarressed about being in the castle and him an sis paying for it,(turns out he idnt charge his friends,just the familes cheeky pious pathetic nob of a man )Thats passed now dont care but only because of you on here you helped me so much with your advice huge (((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))

Deb, you have a wonderful family (BIL apart, of course). Your hubby is caring towards your brother's, your boys are thoughtful and kind and you obviously have been a big influence in all of that. I admire the way you have brought up your children to be kind and caring, they didn't just become that way, they were taught by their parents. You should be proud you have such a loving family and ignore anything the numpty tells you. You have the true spirit of christmas in your home and I know where I would rather spend it!
It's not about how much food you have or how many presents ( I've done Christmas on less than £100, for years, for a family of six), it's about the warmth, compassion and love we have for each other. It seems to me like you have that in abundance and you are certainly the richer ones for that.
