Good luck with finding a present - you could always look / post on the special occasions board for ideas?

Thanks SavingH, I know what I want to get him - its just finding it for the best deal!!! I've signed up to a couple of websites to see if they send me a discount or anything ;) I also need to look into Quidco, etc to see if I can start getting some cashback on these type of things... ;)

Well had a good end to the week, was so busy at work yesterday though as lady who I am covering for maternity, it was her last day - I've definitely had a sink or swim week ... and I think I'm swimming.. albeit, maybe doggy paddle

Little money downer yesterday though - I did spend just under £10 on lunch. We went to a pub (overpriced pub at that) for her leaving lunch - I ordered a sandwich as I was trying to be good and believe me it was one of the cheapest things on the menu... at £6.95... It was rubbish and I was still hungry that I had to buy crisps and a chocolate bar back at the office from the vending machine...

I had promised to the take the b/f for dinner last night - but we went to a local lovely pub and his workmate's wife works there... she gaves us a voucher just before we got the bill that gives you a bottle of wine free if you buy two main meals (or alternatively two drinks)... so £7.50 off the bill!! Kinda made up for the god awful sandwich!! Irony is my very filling dinner (which was gorgeous too) cost only £1.50 more than the evil sandwich ...

However all the above is on my shiny new spreadsheet :D I'm still within this weeks budget although I have only £5 to last me until next friday! lol!! I have my petrol though and I have a seperate budget for food shopping (in spreadsheet too!). This is all helping in making me feel in control and to be able to see just how much I can reduce my debt by if I keep to the payments I believe I can.

Off to change my signature to include some new challenges - find I actually stick to things better if I have you lovely guys to answer to! ;)

Thanks SavingH... the spend diary thing sounds really good!

Been food shopping today - spent £41.35 - bit more than I wanted to but do have toilet rolls for the next 3 weeks - the big pack was on special - I also have freezer meals into the week after next, and I'm going to get strict on sticking to my meal plan!

Everything else is ok - am actually looking forward to getting into some sort of order at work tomorrow .. last week was soooo busy.. Hopefully be able to pop on here at lunchtimes - the IT dudes sat with me last week, its pretty relaxed as there isn't really a canteen or anything and as long as you don't take the mick.. they're cool!

Right off to have dinner - hope everyone has had a good weekend!

    over and out :)
