    HELLOOO!!! I'm sorry!!!

    - I should have popped in sooner - I hope everyone is well... I haven't fallen off the wagon or anything... just ended up a mad couple of weeks!!

The last friday I posted - well I received an email that morning from my dad who said "If you can get a cheap flight over to me - I'll pay"... I had a nosey round t'internet and couldn't find anything last minute that was cheap. Well on going over to above mentioned friends, she had a nose for me on her husbands work discount and then on a well known holiday website and I got a last minute flight to Mallorca for under 50 squid.... with no job and easter coming.... I thought 'sod it'... why not. Those next 3 days meant last minute washing and packing... and off I went.

I came back last week to some sad news though, my adopted mum (mentioned before too) - her mother was in hospital and it didn't look good. She only lost her husband 2 years ago and I've been as there for her as I could. So have been being a support for her as much as I can. Her mum passed away monday. At least she isn't in any pain now.

So I have been back to job hunting and sorting things yesterday and today I looked after someone's children for a little money - not usually my thing but being easter - I didn't turn down some cash. I have the glorious job centre appointment tomorrow  but will remind myself throughout that I need to do it in order for my mortgage insurance to kick in.

Things with fella are ok - I think.. still not 100% sure but I do think I'm reading into stuff that probably isn't anything to worry about :o

Anyway - back to daily entries - I promise....

I really hope you're all well and don't dessert me for my lame non diary use!!!

Thanks Guys - yes it was very impulse and as I've always been in work- its never been something I could do before hand.... always have to book the time off, etc... so - but next time Nats & Laura - I promise to fill out my MSE holiday form and let you all know! :p and yes Laura - my old man does step up just when I need him.

Twas lovely over there though - dad can cook like you can't imagine and one night we had a lovely bbq, and another night a meat paella - I don't really do fish - well maybe cod & chips and a can of tuna - but not the shell stuff _pale_ ooo and another night a lovely homemade minestrone soup which was gorgeous so I brought the recipe back!!

I was going to log in at t'internet cafe in Mallorca - but dad was getting annoyed with the keyboard on his computer (the symbols are all in different places :rotfl:) and he types with one finger at a snails pace bless him... so after him getting the hump... and me replying to a couple of interview related emails - my money was running out...

Thank you all for your kind words about adopted gran. I just feel so sorry for my adopted mum. It's so hard to explain but when she lost her husband - I was surprised she's coped as well as she has (although I know a lot of it is a brave face). They were married 24 years (didn't quite make the 25th anniversary)... but they really had something special that not many people have nowadays... you know that movie love... the stuff that you can start to wonder if it really exists? Such kinda hearted people who looked out for lots of kids, me included and my brother... would have adopted most of us properly if they'd had the room.

They worshipped each other - and because of how suddenly he was taken (no prediagnosis to his illness) .. she didn't even get to say good bye. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it now. Although they were close, her and her mum became even closer over the last two years, her mum rang every morning at 8am for a chat and they'd go shopping every friday. Its just gonna be another big chunk from her life and again - not really much warning. She did get to say bye this time I guess ...

Anyway - sorry if I've gone on - but it helps to talk xx

Will update on boring money/ job stuff over the weekend. Have some time to myself then!

    Missed you all!!!

  • Phew, just caught up with everything!!!!!

sorry to hear bout you sad news, its hard to support someone going through the grief process as it is so long winded and complicated. (i mean that in the nicest possible way, had to study it in depth for my nursing) plenty of tissues and just letting her talk/shout/cry/feel sorry for herself when she needs to is the best thing to do.

OOH, also glad to hear that movie love does exist!!!!!!!:D:D

You seem recharged after your easter break (and who wouldnt) can i ship my fella over to your dad for cooking lessons???!!!! he sounds a complete dream in the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with your job hunt and with the job centre.....................smart suit and killer heels will show them all you mean buisness and not some dosser who doesnt want to work but needs to look like they do to get there money!!!!!! (sorry if anyone takes offence to this, but not including the sick, elderly, people who genuinely cant get a job for love no money no matter how hard they try!!!!)

    Thanks Rags & Retro

I've been lame again at getting on here :o:o:o. Last week was full of appointments at agencies, a day for the funeral and any spare internet time I admit to having been searching for jobs - I really need to get back in the habit of posting on here. OOOOO and I've just remembered I did spend 2-3 days working on the weed infested garden - and trust me with my bad back - it takes that long as I have to keep stopping to rest :o

Today I had job centre catch up - was ok but I've still not had my letter confirming job seekers allowance. I guess they're busy at the moment.

Rags - you're right Dad is a magician in the kitchen!! And all through learning himself from the day my mum left him... he's just read recipes, watched cooking shows and pretty much done a lot of trial and error cooking.

Tomorrow I have a free day - so I am sorting money stuff. Kinda another reason I've not been on here - lack of actual money updating to do!

Right off to other people's diaries and to apologise for my lameness again!!!!
