Not that silly I suppose, but a £3.40 bottle of wine was replaced with one for £11.60. I would rather have had 3 bottles instead (well, I did, later :-) ).0

I had the following substitutions:
I ordered wheetos crisps and was sent cheerios
I ordered a large 200g of dairy milk and was sent a 15g finger of fudge0 -
I got my shopping delivered yesterday, instead of my bottle of spring water, I got spring onions0

Christmas seems a particularly good time for duff substitutions. Last year I ordered a box of Christmas crackers and got instead a box of Ritz crackers. They didn't make much noise when snapped and there was no motto, toy or hat inside.0

Well, not a supermarket, but I ordered a phone charger from a well-known large online retailer and they sent me a hot water bottle. On querying it they sent the charger and I got to keep the hot water bottle.0

A substitute that still reduces me to tears of laughter was when I placed an order for a carton of Greek natural yoghurt, only to discover when unpacking my groceries that they had substituted it for a box of Mates Natural coloured condoms - is someone at Tesco trying to tell me something?0

This thread is so funny my boyfriend and I have been sitting here laughing so hard at it and he's an online shopper for Sainsbury's.
I just wanted to make a comment about the people complaining about things being in stock when they go to the store...I don't know about other shops but my boyfriend starts his shift at 5am and he's one of the first people in the store so usually at this time half the shelves are empty, and the first van leaves at 8.30am, when some of the shelves don't get restocked until after this time. So sometimes it's not being lazy...there just really isn't anything on the shelves that early in the morning! From the sounds of things it is a very flawed system, so some of these things don't suprise me! But then most on here are just ridiculous!
I can comment about the online shoppers in store at 4:30am as I have worked night shift at a different store to the one I work at (mine doesn't have online shopping) and I had to get cases off a roller and open them to allow the online shopper to get some items as there was nothing on the shelf.0 -
I ordered some Night Cream and it got substituted with Day Cream. What's that all about??0
