I guessed that, but there are female footie fans as well, so didn't want to assume/offend..
Do you have any virus scanner installed? If so, is it upto date?
You could try the link I posted to get Microsoft to scan your PC, or install a scanner (Avast is free, there are many others)Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

Just as piece of advice that will serve as a hint to everyone else aswell..
When doing any kind of scan always always leave the PC alone and only have
the program that is doing the scan open i.e close all other applications.. i.e web browser, Word, Excel etc etc as another program running will or could !!!!!! up the scan..... so whilst the scan is in progress grab a beer.0 -
Problem is your Trojan infection will kill the process that the majority of AVs that you could install use to update their definitions.
You could try some of the online scanners here but you may have difficulty with your IE problem and also the possible effect of the trojan on ActiveX. Try the bottom one in the list from Trend; I don't believe that requires ActiveX.
Perhaps your best bet is the manual removal I suggested in post #21.
If you can get a download and installation of Firefox or Opera that will ease the recovery task signifcantly.
Anybody got an FTP for these to hand that OP can enter directly into the Explorer (not IE) address bar?
I suggest you als open a command prompt and run Netstat to see if you have any active ports open around 35000 to 39000 and which URL they're connected to. You can then at least try to block it.
