The easiest way is to write it down, and type it in, we just need to know processes that are taking up more than 10% of the processor time. Also, some indication of what is happening would help, otherwise this is going to turn into a 5 page thread, at the rate the site is performing, it will take all week to resolve.
Are you confident that all your spyware issues are resolved, and that the PC is clean from viruses and spyware?
Personally, have never used prevx, as I prefer a PC with as little running on it as possible - a virus scanner, a firewall, that's it.
Anti spyware scanners can either be resident, or on demand.
I use microsoft anti-spyware and Ad-aware, (both of which I run manually, rather than have resident).
Having too much anti-spyware stuff running all the time, could affect the performance of the PC. Some of the popular anti-spyware stuff is bloatware in my opinion, and for that reason, I won't use it.
Maybe someone else with experience of Prevx could advise on the performance hit (if any).Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

System.exe is a Trojan and definitely bad news. Your IE should only be using 1 - 2 % max. The 98% may be symptomatic of the Trojan infection or it may be something else such as a BHO hijack.
I'll google for system.exe clean-up and post back. In the meantime, suggest you stop using IE and switch to Opera or Firefox.

Download file first from vil.nai
Im sure http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ should kill it.. Turn off System restore
restart PC run a stinger scan (thats the link) then after scan turn on Restore then
restart PC.....0 -
My googling tells me it's the Mitgeider.H proxy trojan.
Manual removal instructions here but a scan with any decent up-to-date AV product should fix it.
