Thanks Toto, It's not been very nice. How's gorgeous little lady? I love the pictures of her, she's beautiful.

Aww thanks :) She's lovely but nocturnal  so I'm not getting masses of sleep. What I do get tends to be when we both fall asleep on the sofa. It's great when fran's home because he covers the night shift and I do the days, so we both get sleep, but today he'll be working 28 hours straight and is working for the majority of the week so I'm feeling it a little.

Thank god, touch wood, fingers crossed none of my lot have had the multitude of bugs going around, I don't know how I'd cope with that too.

  • Thanks gem, They're both keeping food down-when they eat it! It's more a case of them not wanting to eat becasue they feel so rough, but I've just managed to get a bit of juice, yoghurt and toast down them so they seem to have perked up slightly.

Toto, I wouldnt wish this in my worst enemy-how you getting on with feeding? You still expressing ok? That nocturnal bit at the beginning is hell isnt it?

Well, I'm doing half and half now, it sucks because I really wanted to breastfeed but I'm just not producing enough with the pump. After my week of baby blues I've decided to keep going but if I have to give her formula I do, it won't hurt her and the stress is pretty hard to deal with. I'm trying various things to increase my supply though, fingers crossed I'll get some results.

  • afternoon all. Had a bit of a busy morning so just catching up. Sorry you are all feeling so ill in the bunster household, although best to get it out of the way now and not in 3 weeks time. Lots of rest and lots of drinks Ithink are probably best. When I had a bad cold about 6 weeks ago and bought night nurse and day nurse (night nurse does wonders for me) the pharmacist said that paracetamol, a bottle of some kind of inhaler to clear sinuses and lots of liquids was just as good as any of the mixtures on the shelf.

Saved £7 in B+Q this morning on paint/white spirit/glue remover from a 15% voucher on grabbit, excellent timing. Just hope I like the colours I've chosen - I haven't even sample potted them on the walls!!!

Then got soggy and yuck out with Charlie.

  • It is indeed hun-been there, done that-and the stress will stop you producing as well-has she managed to latch on yet?

She is loved and if you're happy, she'll be happy. You do what works for you-my friend is a BF counsellor if you want her number? Her daughter is tongue tied and it took her ages to get a proper latch so she may be able to help?

Aww Bun, that sounds awful, poor little things. I could go for the running away bus whatatwit, had a pretty bad night, OH decided to phone me at 4am to tell me it was over, this morning he's sort of back tracked on some of what he said but I don't really know where I stand. If I'm honest, I don't know where I want to stand either, I'm so sad but I'm tired of feeling like I'm constantly making allowances and trying to prove I'm good enough. Sorry for long ramble :o
