In the end i warmed it through with a mixture of some onions, some chopped tomatoes, some spices, some mixed beans and filled some tortillas with it, spooned some on top, covered it in cheese and ovened it for a bit. Like enchiladas.
Was lovely!!0 -
I mix turkey mince with a tin of chopped toms and a small pkt of paxo and bake in the oven,it makes a great meatloaf and the sage and onion really complements the taste.0

i never thought of that! I assume the turkey mince is uncooked when you do it? Might be something I will try in the future as I always have stuffing and tomatoes in the cupboard.
What do you serve it with? I have never had meatloaf!!0 -
Hi Folks
I'm after a turkey mince recipe...
I have loads of stuff in the cupboards, but I'm lacking some inspiration!! I should add that I've had a gastric band op, and so rice and breads are out of the equation....
Pasta is fine, but I'm sick of Spag Bol...!!!!

Spicy meat balls?
I mix turkey mince with chopped onion, breadcrumbs and chilli powder. Make into golf ball sized balls and bake in oven (about 200) for about 20 minutes. I usually roast some onions and peppers at the same time.
I serve with pasta and a tomato & pepper sauce.0 -

Turkey and Fennel Pasta is quite nice, 400g turkey mince, 1 onion, a couple of cloves of garlic, 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, a squeeze of tomato puree and about a tsp of fennel seed. Serve with pasta.0

I normally use turkey mince to make meatballs or they also make nice burgers. I don't really have a recipe, I just mix the mince with some finely chopped onion (or spring onion), add a little bit of mixed herbs and shape.
Turkey taco's look nice and low calorie too:

Edit: There's quite a few turkey mince recipes on the British Turkey website:

Hi Saffy,
There's an existing thread that has lots of ideas that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.
