my mte cam out of the pub late one night and they had closed the loos -so he went across the car park and through to the closed petrol station all in darkness those days-and promptly peed behind the boot of parked car --as he was peeing the door opned and a polis -he ran like sh***:rotfl: :rotfl: it was an unmarked police car

i thought only Glaswegians called them "polis" - I'm sure Ami can provide us a regional nickname list?

Another favourite was me and a mate had a competition to see how many film titles or famous lines from films you could get into a taped interview. The best, when dealing with a bloke who was nicking and burning out cars was, "So you never meant to blow the bl**dy doors off!" Once my mate scored cheap points by trumping and saying "Gone with the wind"

Brill :T England footy team did something similar one world cup in tv interviews, anyone remember the theme?

Taped interviews were fun. Sometimes you'd get the giggles at the most inappropriate time, and the more you tried to contain them the worse they got.
