Morning all!

My good intentions of just sticking to what was on the list whilst shopping on Saturday completely went out of the window during my Mr T visit. I ended up spending £61 but in my defence I have bought enough toiletries for the next 2 weeks and dog food to last for a while too - although there were plenty of naughty items too! I think the lapse was due to being tired and a teeny bit hungover and succumbing to Mr T's cunning marketing ploys - sweets on the end of the aisle at half price, easy to cook rubbish etc.

Anyway, this week it really will be meal planning and cooking what's in in order of what needs using first and trying to make it last. I'm aiming for just F&V and milk and bread during this weeks' shop next Saturday and try to use some stuff up in the freezer vefore the mega Xmas shop (different budget thankfully).

Tonight for tea its salmon (for OH), quorn escalope (for me), lots of nice salad and a jacket spud - I'm determined not to throw the "bought in haste" fresh stuff out - IT WILL GET EATEN!!!

Anyway, off to try to think about this week's teas and to stop OH eating random stuff.....

Good luck to everyone else.

• Did a shop at the weekend which I'm counting as my first December budget shop and it came to just under £20!!!
Thing is there wasn't really that much food involved. I just seemed like all I had bought was ingredients for Christmas cake and baking! Although I did stock up on a few essentials so now have enought bread mix, tea bags and peanut butter to last me until about February! So maybe it wasn't that bad after all!
