DH went to the supermarket with DD for some non GC stuff and I asked him to bring back 2 small things that I had forgotten. He then comes back with £23 pounds worth of groceries we don't need :mad:. Amongst others there were 2 Bottles of Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce (which I had bought the previous day) and a pheasant. How am I going to stick to the budget like that. We're not even a week into the challenge yet.
Any advice on how to cook the pheasant. Never cooked one before:cheesy::cheesy: Cheese… milk's leap toward immortality :cheesy: :cheesy:Clifton FadimanFeb'11 - GC: £105.89/£125 - NSD: 15:jMar'11 GC: £3.84/£100 - NSD: 00 -

Question?
Hi can some please help me with a recipe, I looked on the front page and could not spot it, sorry if I have over looked it. This christmas I have decided I dnt want to eat Turkey. I have eaten enough of it to last a long time lol, it seems to be all I can eat with these gall stones.
Any ways getting back to my question, we are having leg of lamb. I would like to know how to make a scotch broth out of whats left. This is my fravourite soup in the whole word and would love to know how to make it minus the pepper.
I cnt believe Heniz have put pepper in it :mad:

Evening everyone,
Went to mr t's last night and spent £50 odd. Not happy tho. I have clubcard plus on to which i put my gc money every month. I checked my online banking last night before i went and it showed that my money had gone on to the card. When it came to paying tho the girl told me i had to use another card to pay with as i had insufficient funds to cover my bill:mad: THB i dont think she had a clue cuz she asked me to put my cc+ card in the chip n pin reader (cc+ dosent have chip n pin you have to sign for it!), so i lost out on my double points and had to use my o/d to pay for my shopping:mad:. Couldnt be bothered with the hassle of waiting in the customer service que on a sat night so just left it. Was so annoyed and tired when i got we ended up getting a take away:o, have included this in my total spent. Felt really guilty getting it, but was really yummy, and we opted for cheaper meals and no sides so not as bad as it could of been.
Got about £80 of my budget left which should be enough - i found a mr t saving stamps book too and its full so i'll use that for the rest of my xmas stuff thats not included in my normal gc budget:D£387.39/£196.46

Hi All
declaring £183.30 for November - did really well in cutting back, which i'm pleased about and means I will have £225 for December. Don't have to buy a turkey as we go to my mum and dads, but will be having them over for a meal to repay over the New Year period. All booze bought (What a surprise!!), have a few nibbles stored away, if OH doesn't eat them before then.... Have already had to replace a large bag of peanuts that I had hidden away!!!
Good luck to everyone this month, I think we'll need it!!!Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!0 -
Hi all
Took the major step (for me) of making a list of the contents of the freezer and sticking it on the fridge today! We have a suprisingly large amount of stuff in, not much in the way of convienience food but plenty I can cook with. I have completely run out of fruit save for one pear so I'm going out for some tomorrow, also Eggs and potatoes. We did have two brown bananas left so I fired them up in butter and sugar and had them for pudding with a can of custard - mmmm it was lovely, tasted exactly like banana fritters without the batter! I'm on a Tescos strike this month so am taking the brave step of taking the double buggy to town for supplies by myself, although I may leave DD1 with my mum, depends how brave I am! i need to go to the market for fruit and to Boots for nappies.
Just received a £25 voucher from DH's work to spend at a local butcher for Xmas! Have offered to in laws as we're going there this year but they are insisting that we keep it so I'll use it do get nrmal meat supplies. Very handy! :T
Intending on making a spal bol tomorrow, but must remember to hide the leftover from DH as i want to make a Lasange with it. If I don't hide it he'll hoover the whole lot up!
Right, going to unload and reload the dishwasher for the upteeth time today! Take Care everyone!!0
