We have had our phone with talk talk for at least 4 years now with no problems at all. Within the last year we searched the talk talk website for broadband deals, the search box confirmed that we would be able to get the free broadband deal in our area for £6.49 plus 11.25 line rental so total monthy cost would be £17.74 ish plus mobile and daytime calls. After numerous lengthy calls to an adviser this deal was finally completed. (So i thought) Since then we have been charged on a monthy basis an extra £15.00 for broadband and states it is NOT available in our area for free. After speaking to 4 different adviser regarding this matter, all giving me their names and departments (which dont seem to exist!!!) i am still no closer to resoving this matter, even though to this day are still offering my sister in law the same deal and she lives on the same road. A token offer was made of £5.00 reduction off of our bill per month for inconvienience (what a joke!!!) i feel conned and feel they are using this deal to hook people in even though it is not available in the area.
What else can i do, please help me.0 -
You have been conned, that's why you feel conned.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Hi ali7a,
When you enter your details into the website it checks the exchange status to see whether we can offer free broadband or not. If it offered it free at this point then we should have our equipment in your exchange. Do you know what exchange you are connected to? I can then check to see if there is availability to transfer you over.
Ideally I could do with you registering on the TalkTalk members forum so I can see what has actually happened with your order.
Thanks,

I am the official company representative of Talk Talk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

I too got fed up with the constant sales calls fromTalk Talk. On a number of occasions I had told them that the calls were unsolicited and unwanted and that I was Ex Directory and on TPS. Still they continued, as of 8th March, I will no longer be a Talk Talk customer. Ironic really that stupid companies who tout for business in this way are actually losing customers because of it. If they decide it is a good idea carry on with sales calls, all they will be getting from me is abuse.0

I think Carphone warehouse parent group haven't learnt there lesson from last time
Carphone Warehouse has been fined £35,000 for making silent calls.

A nice juicy 500k fine wouldnt go a miss now due to there apparent lack of privacy
