TalkTalk Company Representative perhaps you can direct me to someone I can complain to within your company at a more serious level. No offence but when I complained last time I had to speak to several people to get this stopped and it took weeks of me having to ring up at my expense

I should not have to tell companies to stop ringing me with nuisance calls, I think there should be a deterrent I fine per call either to the person or nominated to a charity and not a fine imposed by regulator as clearly it does not deter companies for doing this

I am not in it for money just some better deterrent to stop unwanted calls

I have had exactly same run around the last few months with BT and British Gas

Companies must understand not all of us want these calls. I am a member of TPS and these calls should not be made to me

I just wondered why I get these I am ex directory too and have been for over 10 years

    Hi Mystyfied,

If you do get problems and wish to escalate the issue Ofcom can not provide that much assistance other than contacting ourselves. Our ombudsman is Otelo who deal with all complaints.

Hopefully though we should be able to rectify the issue without you needing to go to them. Have you been provided with an account number?

    Hi savemoney,

If you have a look at point 14 in our code of practice here it details our complaints procedure.

With regards to TPS this will stop any unsolicited sales calls from the UK. If you have given your permission for a company to contact you it will override TPS.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

I have not given them permission

I been told by Onetel although owned by same company the are separate, therefore how they have obtained by details is a mystery unless if was given out by Onetel

I have at no time contacted Talk talk in recent times.

I am on TPS and also ex directory

  • Hi Andrew, I really have no desire to escalate this problem, I want it ended, I thought it was ended , Talk Talk are keeping it going, Obviously there is a glitch in your system that this cancelled order is still going through, if people cannot get any sense from your customer services then they HAVE to escalate it or end up owing your company lot of money , and risk being blacklisted and the only option is to go outside to official bodies, nobody likes confrontation. I do have an order number but I have a feeling that TalkTalk inadvertantly created a new order number and that is why it is still going on. As it stands my daughter has to ring Ofcom tomorrow (Friday) to give her permission for them to act for her,(as it is me that has provided them with details) however if you would care to give me an email address or a direct line number by message then I am more than willing to try to sort it out and will advise Ofcom that the matter has been resolved, I can't be fairer than that.

I was told by talk talk to ring 0870 0878038

I get the same my number not recognized this was number I was given by talk talk sales

I told them that I cant never get through to speak to someone as each and every time I enter my landline number followed by # key its says my number is not recognised

Finally 2nd call today someone is there on phone, its Onetel my provider. There message clearly states though its talk talk

I am now leaving Onetel and wont ever use talk talk or Onetel again just as I wont use BT again for similar problems and difficultly getting them to stop
