Now you're both totally on board you can gee each other up.So much easier when both people arec working from the same hymn sheet so to speak.0

Think I'll still be driving but she knows what we need to do and what's at stake - think that will be a huge help!0

its that way with hubby and i ...i am in the driving seat but it makes the journey much better if you have the backing of your loved one0

Right December 1st. Have opened the first door on the advent calendar (half price at Tesco!) adn now need to really get in gear on lots of fronts. Am feeling rather overwhelmed to be honest - both with the amount of work back log I have and with getting on top of everything else.
But need to get stuff out of my head and onto here and then get going.
So finance first. Big chunk gone out in payments this morning (more than £1500) but mainly off the expenses card not the "real" debt. But it does take me a little down on that. Maybe I need to add the real debt to my sig. so I keep remembering that. (Done)
Last week I made a reminder list on here:
- Write up those reports for external work that should bring in £250 extra.
- Book car in for MOT
- Check car insurance deals - both cars due for renewal this month - ouch!
- Sort out deposit and confirmation for dog sitter booking
- Start filing and sorting out my tax return for the accountant
- Follow up a couple of training clients
- Write a prioritised to do list for work stuff
Right - will start with that this morning. Must stop being reactive and get back in control! Have a good day everyone!0 -
Evening all. Was going to have a NSD today, but I couldn't face washing the pots with handwash so had to go and buy some washing up liquid. Whoops. Rang most of the people I was uspposed to ring, but I still need my wage slips off my boss, have tried threatening him with a big stick, but I don't think he's very scared of me.
Did you get your list done mizmir?0 -
No - didn't even get as far as the first one
Spent all day in meetings and then dog training this evening.
Well will try again tomorrow!0 -
Whoops, my lists seem to get bigger through the day, as I cross something off I add something on.0
-
Yes part of me is really scared to start the list for work as there is so much needs to be on it!0

Hi mizmir....mind if I tag along? I had another LBM on the 30/11/08 after debt yo-yo for a good 10months or so. I've got the same goal as you and want it all to be gone by 31/12/09. I'd love it all to be gone by 29/10/09 (DH b'day), but i think 10 months might be pushing it a little as I'm a SAHM with two small children. It's great seeing your progress in this diary and a real inspiration to me. I'm really determined to get rid of it once and for all. Good luck on your mission and I'm looking forward to your seeing total shrinking.

welcome debtfreein2009! With that user name you really have to hit that target!! Glad to have you along in the diary - hopefully we can encourage each other. I've done the wobbling bit too. Hypno reminded me that I had been on MSE for nearly 2 years - if I had concentrated all that time I would be debt free by now - but next year WILL be the year. Hold me to that will you?
Good luck in achieving your goal. Do you have a plan of action?0
