Quick progress report.

• Write up some reports for external work that should bring in £250 extra.
• [STRIKE]Check online banking - OH should have been paid today and has had a pay rise which means an extra £70 a month - very welcome.[/STRIKE] Done and pay is in :T
• [STRIKE]Pay the extra "back pay" off a card.[/STRIKE] Done - paid a little more than the back pay to get the debt sans expenses under £17K
• [STRIKE]Pay my NI arrears before I get arrested![/STRIKE] Done - phew!

Have also extended my redirection on previous property so we can be sure we have changed all the addresses (MUST do it systematically) and sorted out the documents for my car tax. So today has not been cheap but feel starting to get things sorted. Sadly am not going to get the reports written :rolleyes: - have to sort stuff out now and get on the road early afternoon.

Am away over the weekend (so won't be posting but am being good) so early next week I also need to:

• Write up those reports for external work that should bring in £250 extra.
• Book car in for MOT
• Check car insurance deals - both cars due for renewal this month - ouch!
• Sort out deposit and confirmation for dog sitter booking
• Start filing and sorting out my tax return for the accountant
• Follow up a couple of training clients

Putting stuff here will (hopefully!) remind me to do it when I get back. Anyway if I don't get back on here before I go - have a good weekend folks - will try to be as frugal as possible (with friends at their home so shouldn't be much more than fuel).

Am back after a lovely weekend with friends - all very low key (and low cost!) in spite of long journey. Now have to start the new plan in earnest. Will see if can get OH to sit down tonight with the new budget. She is on board in principle but leaves all the finance to me but she really needs to have an idea of the figures involved if we are going to stick to this. More expenses came in over the past couple of days so when everything is cleared will be able to make another payment - yeah!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Off now to catch up with a few diaries.

glad you had a good weekend. good luck with the talk with OH, but I agree, she needs to be aware of the finances, even if she leaves it to you to do all the actual finance "stuff".....
