Wow - so many posts - thank you all - and a special welcome to newcomers - please stay around and chat (and give me a kick if I start to slip!).

Strumpet - you are a charmer for sure! :A

Hypno - of course your challenge is sufficient incentive - just happen to have fallen over another too..... ;)

First day back on the wagon - have redone the budget - it is not as tight as it could be so there is room to pull back if needed but I feel I need to be realistic. It allows £1200 for debt repayment which leaves £400 to make/save/find extra (budget only based on salary) to make hypno's challenge.

    Good start.

Thanks everyone - and do keep dropping by to chivvy me on - I'll be needing it!

Day two. Just dropped OH off at the station and about to have breakfast and get going - feeling very groggy! Have to drive "down south" later so need to get a few things sorted before that - oh - and go to work! Have decided I will try to post on here at least once a day (unless I am scheduled to be away) so feel free to nag if I go AWOL. I'm going to need to stay in touch with MSE to have a chance of sorting things this year!

    DFW things to do:
    • Write up some reports for external work that should bring in £250 extra.
    • Check online banking - OH should have been paid today and has had a pay rise which means an extra £70 a month - very welcome.
    • Pay the extra "back pay" off a card.
    • Pay my NI arrears before I get arrested!
    have a good day everyone.

Yee ha! Just been on internet banking and as well as being paid over £500 of expenses have come in. So they can go towards clearing the expenses card. :T Plus have paid another £240 off my BC which brings the debt (excluding the expenses account) to under £17K! :j

Included in the £20K challenge so will count payments off those cards too but keeping separate in my mind otherwise my debt just goes up and down all the time!

Think you're right about hypno - might just have to beg! :D
